Nice hotel
Was a nice hotel better than I had read. Has started breakfast again. Room was nice and comfortable staff was friendly and helpful. The Roku tvs are an amazing touch wish the pool was open. Very greatful for the elevator
I think they are struggling
We have stayed here several times over the years when it was a Sleep Inn and thought it was a good value. We were surprised to see it had recently become a Rodeway Inn & Suites not long before our last stay. They said it was a name change only except no longer had in-room coffee makers but they were available on request. It is starting to get a bit run down. I suspect they may have opted to downgrade from Sleep Inn rather than remodel/update. The breakfast was very simple continental which meant my wife could not eat there since no much gluten free stuff. Our major complaint was the water never got warm enough for a comfortable shower. I spoke with a man on duty the next morning who said he lives on the 3rd floor and has to run the water 15 or so minutes to get hot water. He blamed it on low occupancy rates. Apparently they do not keep the hot water constantly circulating. The room was clean and beds comfortable... no complaints there. BUT: I doubt we will stay again.
Loved it
Late check was no problem. Richard, the night manager, was courteous and professional. He offered information about the area, to make my stay enjoyable. John, the day manager, was exceptionally accommodating. Addressing my concerns. The room was huge and clean. Great accommodations for a great price. Will gladly stay here again on my next trip through. Great breakfast and Jeanette was simply outstanding. Great staff. Great customer service. Great price. What more could you ask for.
Disappointed and upset
Sleep Inn & Suites is no longer this it is now a Rodeway Inn & Suites. I've never had any issues with Rodeway. I always reserve and pay upon arrival. My families experience is exactly why I do it this way. I had reserved 2 rooms since we were traveling with my in-laws and my son. A total of 4 adults and 1 toddler. We arrived around midnight Saturday night Sunday morning. I was given room keys for 1 room. I told the gal that I had reserved 2 rooms. She had told me that on her screen she was showing only 1. So, I pulled the confirmation number and that confirmed I had reserved 2 rooms. Someone, a June Clark, had some way some how been checked into one of my rooms. Pushing 12:30 at this point with a car load of tired people. There were no other rooms open due to the Lead Sled Car Show. I was told that they couldn't remove the people out of our room. Fine, whatever. So, my mother in-law slept in an arm chair, my father in-law slept on a roll out bed, my husband and I were in the bed with our son. We were cramped, if the room was a suite it was a small suite. Next morning at check out had attempted to charge me for the second room. I argued and brought up that I had been told that I'd be compensated for the 1 room sense they messed up. Guess what? Hasn't happened. The pool was also out of order and I was really hoping to take my son swimming before we had left. I won't be returning to this hotel, I'll go stay at the Super 8.
Watch your bank account!!!
This used to be a Sleep Inn and we stayed here quite often when passing through with work. We were surprised to see it is now a Rodeway (which we never stay at). We went ahead and booked the room. It was clean and had the same comfy beds as the Sleep Inn. The room was suffocatingly hot as it was the upper level and they didn't have the a/c even partially on. After a couple hours, we finally quit sweating. The big kicker is a 2 days later our credit card was declined for fuel. We went and looked to see what the problem was and they had "authorized" multiple rooms for 2 different amounts. And here it is 4 days later and our money won't be released until next week sometime. This is our fuel money for the rest of our trip. We stay at over 200 hotels a year and this is exactly why we are starting to step away from Choice hotels... and why we NEVER stay at Rodeway or EconoLodge (the 2 we've had issues with in the past). We've stayed at this hotel (Sleep Inn) probably 25 times over the last 3 years. We will never stay here again since they can't charge/authorize ONE room.
