free parking, hotel in the quiet area
Opinión escrita el 23 de Julio de 2017
My room was big, and the shared bathroom I had no complaints on. In the hotel you can have fun in the bar and pub. The area is quiet and can have a good rest.
On the down side, the room didn't had air-conditioning, but still wasn't too hot, afterall for 40 euros having a room with breakfast was more than you can ask for.
Basic, but good value for good price

When looking at the photo above I wasn't really sure about going. Some of the comments weren’t very tempting either.
Some of the other comments, especially those concerning the quality of the beds and the food, made me want to try.
It was a good decision. For a mere € 69 we had a quiet and good size room with a comfy bed and nice bathroom with shower, breakfast and parking included.
In the tiny restaurant downstairs, which doesn’t look very attractive at first site, the food is very nice. Schnitzels is obviously their speciality, as is the size of them.
If you don’t insist on a 3 to 5 star hotel, you really must stay in this one just for one night only.
Another plus: it is very near to the motorway, but without any of the noice. ;)
Nice hotel for budget travellers

Nice hotel for budget travellers.
Near the German river, so ideal for bikers/cyclers, ...
The restaurant is having a lot of different sort of snitzels.
Room are nice and clean, breakfast is good.
Big parking place at the hotel, so no problem with parking.
Rooms fine - restaurant unbelievably smoky

We had one night here in transit and whilst the place was perfectly adequate and extremely cheap by local standards, we would not return. The Kenner Treff is some ten minutes drive from Trier in a quiet village, with few other eating options. We had two rooms with a shared bathroom and the rooms were newly decorated, clean and bright. The bedding was shiny nylon and smelled clean, but not particularly pleasant. As a sleeping spot this was fine, but the restaurant was another thing as far as eating. There are over forty types of schnitzel on offer, but it is undoubtedly the kind of place where the sauces are all from a jar and everything deep fried if possible. The bar area was full of locals, all smoking, who all stopped talking to stare at us, and did not make us feel at all welcome and so for this reason we were forced to drive off in order to find something to eat. There are two other eating options in the village - one only open on Friday and Saturday, and the other shut on a Monday, when we were there. In the morning breakfast was fine - rolls, cheese, eggs etc, but there were no plates, then no forks, no cups etc. etc. and we had to keep asking for everything, while the waiter gamed on his computer. The room was still unbelievably smoky and unpleasant to sit in. Not recommended.
Basic, but cheap & very cheerful

We booked this as couldn't find anything in Trier in our budget. A nice little hotel, though public transport is limited. We got the bus in Trier for the afternoon/evening but the last one back was at 8.30pm so no late nights out in Trier!
From what we saw, Kenn looks like a v pleasant suburb, though I think you'd struggle to amuse yourself here for long, and to find much choice for dinner. The hotel was basic but was clean and functional.
V friendly staff - we arrived 3 hours before their (clearly stated) check-in time, and had planned to just park our car and come back later, but were able to get into our room then.
Bar is v lively but v friendly, and good (cheap) beer.
Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, though was served in the bar which smells quite a lot of stale beer & cigarettes which isn't really what you want first thing in the morning!
V convenient for the motorway - more so than Trier itself - and ok for what you pay.
