More about the hotel
Beautiful lobby but downhill thereafter
Seems that management used their remodeling budget on the lobby and fitness center because it was a disappointment thereafter. The room dated to the 80's including carpeting, linens, microwave, bathroom and otherwise. But the real frustration was the inability to get on the internet and I have never had this problem at any other hotel. I know how to spell my last name and knew my room number but their system refused to allow access. And I assume they knew their system had problems because their was a page for "troubleshooting access to the internet" and I followed the suggested steps, e.g, open a new browser window, refresh the page and none of these ideas worked. Last idea was to contact the front desk but only one person was on duty that night and there was a constant line of people trying to check in. I had a couple hours of work to do that night but nothing works without simple internet access. Suggest management visit their competitors and copy an easier method to log on to internet access.
FANTASTIC HOTEL FOR GROUPS
I've booked my large TV production group at this hotel intermittently over the last 12 months and each time they have taken great care of us, going above and beyond to accommodate our very specific needs. The hotel is always very clean, there's lots of parking (including overflow for things like truck and trailer combinations), there's great outdoor seating (currently being updated so temporarily closed) as well as several indoor seating settings. They have a gym, laundry, printers, and a pantry where you can buy drinks and snacks so they've got your covered if you work many days in a row and for long hours like my group. The bistro food is very good (although it's currently closed due to Covid) with multiple seating options. If you're on a romantic getaway, they have cozy booths with some privacy and if you're traveling for business (like my group), there are super convenient shared tables with outlets so you can keep working while enjoying some breakfast or dinner. The staff are fantastic! Liz at the front desk knows my team by name and thinks ahead to make our stay as easy as possible - doing things like making sure the front door is unlocked when we begin loading our equipment (so we don't have to keep taking our keys out) and offering to provide coffee way before they normally make it just to help us have a more pleasant start to a very early morning. Joanna the sales mgr. is 100% on it ! She responds very quickly to the seemingly endless changes I make to our rooming list and makes the changes correctly so I don't constantly have to verify with the front desk that our (many) reservations are correct. She helped us secure the conference room for all of our days which was a huge help in managing our equipment and people. Adam the general mgr. has also been very helpful to our group and does a good job ensuring that the hotel is well maintained.
They never disappoint
This is my wife and I second time staying in this wonderful hotel, and it has never disappointed us. The first visit was over a year ago, but this visit was especially different. We were only in town for 1 night, traveling through Georgia. My wife was/is very concerned with the Covid-19 spread, and was concerned with how the hotel would handle the cleanliness, along with following the CDC Guidelines. This hotel did not disappoint. As a precaution, only those with reservations were allowed in the hotel, the door was locked (their daily rates were posted clearly on the door for inquiries). There was a table between the clerk's desk and anyone needing to go to the front desk to ensure distance between staff and patrons, all staff wore masks and gloves at all times. Everyone was friendly despite the working conditions. The room was immaculately clean. Check out was easy and friendly. The area has everything you may need probably from within a 1 to 5 mile radius, and it shuts closely to the interstate. We definitely will continue to stay here.
Oversold and Rebooked me to a different hotel
I arrived at the hotel only to be told they were oversold and they rebooked me at a lower class motel across the street. They could have called to inform me so I would have had time to rearrange my travel accordingly. This split up our party and was quite an inconvenience. Did I have a choice of hotels to move to? The women said no. Gee thanks. Glad to know you treat your customers with such little disregard than to have a conversation about how best to troubleshoot the issue. It was already 8PM and my car had left so I was stranded. Shameful customer service. Gives me pause to ever stay here or another Marriott again.
Great Hotel with Poor Service
Booked rooms on line and arrived at Hotel. Looks very nice, hasn’t been open long, and you can tell by the service. My Associate is a Marriott Ambassador and I’m a Platinum. No thank you for your patronage and loyalty, not even a hello, period. “You Checking in? I need a photo ID”. We received no information about breakfast, welcome points, offered a bottle of water, nothing. There was no one else checking in at this time but she said they were completely sold out. The Deli-Bar is staffed by one person who was the bartender, cook, janitor, bussing tables and his register didn’t work properly. He was over whelmed to say the least. They have a long way to go if their goal is to be a “quality”Hotel. Where’s Management???
