Perfect Keys Destination
This resort was the perfect getaway! Linda, the owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly! Our cottage was perfect, clean and just a stone's throw away to the water. Close to restaurants and stores, but if you prefer to eat in, the kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you may need to make that perfect meal and Publix grocery store is just a short 7 min drive. I will definitely be back sooner than later. I absolutely love Rock Reef Resort! p.s. located on the Sunset side :)
Lovely spot with great grounds. Will return.
Tough to beat the location (Key Largo) and the facilities (gulf access, kayaks, pool, cabanas) were great. The place has lovely access to the gulf - a soft sand beach with mangroves on one side and a cabana on the other side. The kids LOVED the HEATED pool - we spent hours there everyday. Our room was basic, which is fine. Another table and some place to hang dry wet clothes would be VERY useful. Staff were polite and were mask adherents. I would recommend Rock Reef Resort.
Perfect Vintage Keys!
We had a highway facing room. Road nose wasn’t an issue. The room was very clean and had a fridge and microwave. Small table there as well. The best part was beachfront so a very short walk past the pool was a beach. There were plenty of lounge chairs a small covered area with picnic tables. It was very relaxing. There were small cottages that are closer to the water but none are far. Would stay here in a minute! Oh forgot the night blooming cactus was amazing! The landscaping here is list and well cared for!
Ideal resort for families, relaxing, and exploring the Keys
Our family of four (kids aged 5 and 7) traveled with our friends (kids aged 6 and 8) at the end of February and had a truly wonderful experience. We felt welcomed by the friendly staff from the start, and they were quick to help with local recommendations. Fishing and watching sunsets from the docks and pier were highlights, as were finding the iguanas of different sizes and colors that roam the property. The pool was always warm enough that even the tiniest member of our group could play in it for hours without getting cold. Everything you could need is provided by the resort--taking the kayaks and paddleboat out are a must-do! We even saw a group of gentle manatees while we were on the water about a foot away from us! I think the kids would have happily lived here if that was an option. Great value for the price, ideal and idyllic location (hooray for the bay side with its calm waters and stunning sunsets), and lovely hosts. Don't waste time and money at "fancy" resorts....book here!
Great place to stay
A nice quiet and peaceful place. We love the common area near the water. Beautiful sunset from the dock. Good location near town but not in the congested part of Key largo. Well worth the money that is charged. This would be a good place to take a family.
