DO NOT STAY HERE! Scam…. This place was great but they charged me 500$ for a damaged wall that had a hole in it upon entry. We took pictures for documentation purposes and they won’t respond to my emails or phone calls… seems like they blocked me. The hotel isn’t cheap either. 572$ for 2 nights and then a wrongful 500$ charge…. Ridiculous. The accounting staff is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and UNHELPFUL. PATHETIC. Don’t give them your money!!! The pool was cold and the walls are thin! Lots of noise at 8 am! Unbelievable

We did not choose this hotel.

My husband and I treated our adult children and their spouses to a much-needed vacation as they are busy professional folks with young children. I had been planning the trip since February and painstakingly chose the Kimpton Winslow's Bungalows for its location, pools - one with a bar, and inviting outdoor spaces to hang out. We had three rooms booked for Nov. 4 - 8. On Halloween evening, 3 days before our arrival day, I get a call from the property telling me they had to move us due to "safety issues" on the property necessitating emptying 1-2 buildings. We got moved to the Kimpton Fitch Hotel. I was on the phone in the middle of grandkid hullabaloo but specifically asked if it was as nice or nicer than Winslow's Bungalows (my computer was not in front of me to verify). I was told, "Yes, of course." Suffice it to say it was not near the quality of the property I chose. After numerous phone calls over the course of 2 days, finally, a manager, Brian, said he would knock some off the price of the Fitch and comp some drinks at the Winslow Bungalows pool to compensate. The Fitch is an incredibly non-descript, cramped, dated property. Although Key West is a manageable place, we were on the other side of the island from almost everything we had planned. The rooms were such that two people could not move around at the same time. A few of us visited Winslow's Bungalows for the appointed pool day and it just made me angry that we were not placed at a nicer property as there are at least five (5) Kimptons on Key West. Word had not been left about our pool date, but the staff and bartender were kind to us and treated us to some pool time and cocktails. Had the first person not misrepresented the Fitch or any number of folks searched for an alternative plan, I would not be so very disappointed.

It was a good value for the location. Everything was ok with the room. We didn't plan on being there much, so it was primarily for sleep. Staff was friendly. Parking was tough. Bathroom was a bit underwhelming. There was an awkward quarter step separating rooms, so a midnight potty break could possibly go wrong. We laid a white towel on the floor to highlight the step. It's an old key west house. Everything was good for us. Key west is expensive, so pay more if you want more. I slept well. A bit of a walk if walking is not going well. House beer was really good

Loved this hotel

My husband I chose this hotel as a last minute getaway and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The grounds and room are immaculate. We would definitely stay here again!!! Thank you Klimpton Fitch Lodge!!!!

Value for Price is NOT there… Cannot recommend!

There were too many missteps for me to recommend this hotel to friends and family. While there are some positives, they were outweighed by the negatives: Positives - 0.6 mile walk to Duvall St. - Restaurants nearby - Can be quiet (if your room is in the correct place) - Unique rooms - Chickens around the pool - Pool - while small (maybe 10 feet by 20 feet) it does it’s job - Follow-up welcome text Negatives - Location - It is located on a busy main road which can mean traffic noise at night. That’s not their fault, it just is! - Buildings - Half the property is on the north side of the road, the other (with the lobby - where breakfast is served, and the pool is) on the south. Be careful crossing. - Resort Fee - This covers pool/beach towels (thank you), arrival drink (thanks), Wi-Fi (a standard now a days), coffee and tea in the lobby, snorkel equipment (appreciate- if it works, ours didn’t), breakfast! - Breakfast - I call “fraud” on the use of the term “free breakfast” as the “resort fee” disclaimer clearly states it includes breakfast. How can it be free if you tell me I am paying for it? - Service - I was disappointed in the lack of a service oriented and welcoming demeanor most of the front desk had. Example: this morning (before checkout) we entered the lobby for breakfast, said hello to the staff and no one responded. - Staff Knowledge - Similarly, i was surprised the staff do not know all the amenities listed for the property online and/or available (example: I witnessed a guest ask for an iron and the front desk had to ask a colleague if they have one). - Room - While smaller than expected, it worked for 3 days (more than that and it would become claustrophobic). That said, there were several maintenance items in our room (38 - second floor) that need to be addressed: > gap under door large enough for critters to enter > robe hook beginning to fall off wall in bathroom > top drawer to armoire broken and not usable (roller missing/broken) > Bathroom fan underpowered/broken (as steam built up quickly) > Hair ball (blond hair) on a hand towel (discovered last night in room) > Back of toilet/top of water basin dusty (we carry Clorox wipes for that kind of situation) We raised these items upon checkout. They impacted our stay, but not crucially.
