My friends and I experienced issues throughout the entirety of our stay. Upon arrival, the manager was completely rude - when we checked in at 330p, she said we had to wait until 4p on the dot because the room was getting serviced - it was not. Additionally, we were charged for two rooms (I had cancelled one, but there must've been a system glitch and it didn't show up), so the manager told us that she would cancel the room at no additional charge and upon my return home, I was charged for the first night of the second room despite not staying in that room. I called back and she told me that we were indeed charged for the first night (completely different from what she told us). When we hadn't received cleaning services after the first day, we inquired with the front desk and they sent in a maid who made 1/2 of the beds because there were personal items on the second bed - a sweatshirt and a baseball cap. To add insult to injury, the paint on the ceiling in our room was peeling off the walls and falling on to the floor (which we informed the front desk of - nothing done). Aside from the one made bed, nothing else was serviced. In addition, the pool is the size of a large bathtub and completely surrounded by shade, so don't plan on laying out while you're there. The bar adjacent to the pool was leaking heavily during our stay and remained closed for a majority of the time. Outside of the location, there is no reason for you to waste your money staying here. There are so many other great spots to stay in Key West. Lesson learned!!

Nice Key Westy feel.

Location is perfect, Hemingway house is directly across the street. Look right when exiting property and you can see the Southern most point at the end of the street. The hotel is old, but has more of a home feel than a hotel vibe. Staff was great, super friendly and responsive. Fort Zach beach is a short walk and worth the $2 a person to visit. No issues with room, A/C is a bit loud, but it’s a window unit so expected. If your looking for an upscale resort experience then this is not it, however if you want a quiet, relaxed, everything is close to you and more like a home experience then the Kimpton Lighthouse is where you want to stay.

To expensive for what you get!!

I give this hotel rating of “1” terrible service, very expensive could stay at Four Season with a lot better service and cost. Rooms very small, from desk not very friendly. Won’t go back to the Keys over priced and lot drunks! If your 20’s and you like to party you will love this place, lots of people.

Health and safety issue with this hotel.

I would never stay at this hotel again. On the second night our AC caught fire setting off the fire alarm. The wall socket was broken exposing electrical wiring. We requested the hotel and Kimpton Hotels comp our room for the night the AC caught fire. They refused. We were. Loyal Kimpton customers and they had no interest in keeping our business. This was a health and safety issue and Kimpton did not even call us back. Stay away.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!

There’s no way around it—this place is LOUD. If you are on the bottom floor, expect to hear tap dancing above you at 7am. If you are on any floor, expect to get woken up by drunk people at 1am. Heck, one night I even got woken up by a rooster. The beds are comfortable, the rooms have cute and funky furniture and are very spacious. The location is great and walking distance to all the main tourist stuff. The music at the pool during the day was very nice. My check-in lady was a bit terse, but a different, nicer lady helped me quickly resolve an issue with my door not working. The breakfast isn’t substantial, but at least it’s a decent cup of coffee to get your day going. I recommend using that caffeine boost to climb the 88 steps at the lighthouse next door!
