Perfect stopover pub in beautiful countryside

Lovely clean fresh rooms with crisp linen and soft towels. Immaculately clean throughout. Delicious evening meal- steak for my husband was tender and rare , just as he loves. Confit belly of pork for me was delicious- lovely crunchy crackling! Good breakfast cooked and served by the young chef, who was on his own but remained cheerful and attentive!

An excellent place for an overnight stop. Staff were very friendly, room quirky and food and drink brilliant. A nice atmosphere. Only slight criticism is the pillows were very small, but still a good sleep Recommended

Great find, amazing food

A friend booked us a nights B & B at this amazing country pub. The friendly welcome from the staff and locals at the bar was lovely. Stayed in room 6, which was spacious, and furnished to a high standard. We ate in the restaurant and wow what a meal. The steak was one of the best my husband has had and the partridge and accompaniments was amazing. Apple & Custard dessert is highly recommended not just for it flavour but the clever cooking skills in creating such a dish. A great wine selection and very attentive waiting staff. It was great to be able to speak with the chef who visited every table at the end of the night which we thought was a great touch. After a good nights sleep we had a wonderful breakfast with a great choice on offer. Highly recommended, we look forward to returning.

As a vegetarian it can be difficult to get a quality meal when visiting pubs in the countryside but here they have really thought about their vegetarian/ vegan options. I had the beetroot tartare to start it was delicious, so fresh and light. I then had the katsu breaded cauliflower steak. I loved this. The whole meal was delightful , staff so friendly , great service and I will definitely be returning.

Our stay at the Hopton Crown was absolutely superb. There is a new chef there and the dinner was really top notch - way above standard pub food and reasonably priced. The breakfast was also excellent - best quality ingredients in the full English breakfast. Our room was lovely too! Highly recommended
