Everything you need
Perfect. My 2 week stay at Hotel Berliner Hof was very nice. The room was very clean. The room was cleaned daily and everything spotless. The bathroom was perfect with hot water, soap, clean towels and a heater behind the door that worked. Everything one would expect. Cupboard space was ample. Nice round table and chair in the room + a counter-top with a chair to work by. Free coffee in the foyer was a nice treat although a kettle in the room would be preferable. Restaurant was good. Breakfast service was excellent. Very friendly and very efficient staff. The choice of food ingredients and different type of dishes was great. Protein selection was very varied. All the coldmeat / raw fish etc you could wish for. Diary of all kinds and shapes. All the drinks associated with breakfast in ample supply and variety. Huge selection of cereals. I really enjoyed my stay at this small but clean, well managed hotel. The reception staff was also exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bar was nice too. We had a few beers there on a few occasions. Kiel train station is literally 2min walk away. Sophie shopping centre is 4min walk away. All very good. Highly recommendable. Well done Berliner Hof. Perfect hotel with impeccable services
Best amongst the 3 hotels I have stayed in Kiel. Hotel comes with intercity bus transportation. This includes rail to citti-park (a large mall) and bus services within Kiel. The hotel is well kept, morden and clean. We were warmly greeted by the counter staff daily, the staffs are friendly and approachable. For an instance, they provided a trolley for me to move my parcel to the post office. In addition, for a cost of €4, a lovely spread of breakfast buffet is available for you. This includes choice of eggs and beverages. Room is spacious with basics of mini-fridge, safe and TV. What I don't understand is the handle and shuttle to the bath, makes it unconventional for an family travellers. I love the soft pillow and comforter for that good night's sleep. Do note that street facing rooms can be noisy if you are a light-sleeper with occasional sirens from emergency vehicles. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Restful one night stay at the Hotel Berliner Hof
Hotel located close to the Kiel Central Station, but on a quiet street. Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast had many choices and was freshly prepared. A really great one night stay.
Great location and staff
Great central location to Kiel attractions, train station, and cruise line terminals. It is across street from main train station and walking/short cab for cruise line terminals. A couple blocks from river for a walk or run. Room was comfortable and clean and staff was very helpful and fluent in English

a very nice hotel in a very convenient location, just opposite of train station. complimentary bus service is a bonus. staffs are very friendly and willing to help. room are clean and housekeeping are done daily. nice breakfast at an economic price. complimentary coffee machine at the lobby is a nice touch in end Oct cold weather. overall, a very good experience.
