Very comfortable hotel
We stayed here for 2 nights with our kids aged 11. Very nice hotel, very clean and centrally located. Good rooms that are nicely decorated. Very good value for money. Extremely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel in Kiel.
Pros and Cons
This hotel is a very reasonable choice for Kiel since it’s pretty well located, quite quiet and not expensive. Our first impression was negative due to the room we got. This was a room for handicapped which nice for those who need it but uncomfortable for the ones who don’t. We talked to the man in charge at this time and, he, the most friendly of the staff, made a quick change and could modify our first impression for the better. Actually he was an exception in guest care because the women in the mornings were absolutely dull and not concerned. The room a bit tight in size with open shelves and no wardrobe but adequate for us. Good size and easy to use safe and a modern tv with the option for chrome-cast to connect your devices to the screen. Other positive point is their ecology oriented policies. The promote, not only with the usual towel saving rules, the idea of saving water, cleaning products and so on by giving the choice of skipping unnecessary room care and rewarding it with drinks vouchers and donations for the environment. Great idea but again with the contradiction of not even pass by the room to check when we left the sign for that, Concerning parking, they do not have any but there is not a problem because you can park overnight nearby for free on the street up to 10am. We found free space every night easily. If you move everyday for excursions around you will not spend an euro for parking. If you want to stay and leave your car close to the hotel there is a pay parking available quite close. Summarizing The hotel keeps being a good choice for us but we would recommend more attention to the rooms and more smiles for the staff we met in the morning.
Popular Hotel that's a Quiet sleep for its location
We stayed here whilst touring the area. The hotel has a modern feel to it - looks recently refurbished (or maybe even newly opened), and has a modern young look to it. Spider man climbs the wall in the breakfast area, with spider-pig walking along the ceiling above the reception. The room itself was a little small for my liking, but was reasonably well equipped. I would have liked to have had tea/coffee facilities in the room, but it did come with games - a rubiks cube, a sudoku book, and other games to pass the time. The room came equipped with a bluetooth speaker (which I couldn't get to work - don't blame that on the hotel, it may be my inability to work with technology!), and air conditioning which was a little noisy. Breakfast was good - lots of choice, including teas and coffees, with the usual excellent German breakfast buffet on offer, including gluten free options. Staff were helpful and friendly. On the whole, notwithstanding the smallish room, the lack of drinks facilities in the room, the hotel was worth the price we paid for it, and I wouldn't turn anyone away from it.
Modern and Cosy
A super hotel in the heart af the the City. New, nice and clean. Smiling staff that is accomodating and speaks English. I have never slept better in a hotel bed;-) Also they have an environmentally green approach. Only downside is that there are no parkingspaces, so we had to pay by the hour at a nearby parking facility.
Very nice and modern hotel
A very nice and modern hotel in the heart of Kiel. Close to shops, restaurants and the harbour. Kiel is perfect for a weekend getaway. Great breakfast with good coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely nothing to complaint about. 😊
