Terrible Hotel, very old, dirty, stunk like bug spray. The worst Holiday Inn and Express I have ever stayed in. The first room they tried to put us in stunk so bad like mildew then the next room stunk like bug spray. Really bad experience and we are Gold members with IHG, it really makes me not want to stay at Holiday Inn and Express anymore, that they would find this acceptable. Also the AC did not work at all, we had to go to Walmart and buy a fan.

Outside of main entrance on ceiling, lots of cobwebs, dirty elevator, room had scuff marks on walls, old carpet with musty smell, bathroom had shoddy renovations with a little mold in shower, and some hair, no magnifying mirror in vanity. I was told no eggs available for breakfast in the morning. a/C was noisy. Should have been a $60 night hotel.

. After our first night, our room was not cleaned, no clean towels. Front desk brought up towels and explained they were short staffed. Also, our room and the one next door were overrun with some sort of worms. I do not know where they were coming from, but this should be addressed. Breakfast area was not cleaned.

Stayed one night here. I felt the rooms were quite large with a mini fridge, microwave and wet bar. Although I saw a few stains on the couch and chairs, the room itself was clean. We don’t typically stay in many hotels but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area. I will say one thing ...the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.

After a very long drive we needed to choose a place to stay for a few days. We wound up in Kimball, TN and located a Holiday Inn Express. I had well over 120,000 points built up and tried to book a room online but found the hotel had used up it's allocation of reward point rooms. I then called the number at HIE and spoke with a representative who then contacted the hotel, and obtained a room for us. When we arrived at the hotel, the desk clerk said they didn't gave any king rooms left, and gave us a king suite in it's place. As always, their rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and as we're still there for another few days, we're very happy with the comfy bed and big, thick pillows. I can't wait until they transition back to their covenient breakfast buffet from the COVID grab and go offerings. We're sticking to HIE because of the comfort, service and simplicity we experience during our stays. We love our people at the three hotels we've stayed at, and are now loyal customers. One thing though...please bring back the cookies. It was one thing to lose soups, but another to lose the cookies. 😁 Thanks for the enjoyable stays.
