More about the hotel
Good stay
This is a dated hotel that is clean and comfortable with very good hot and cold breakfast. The beds and pillow were very comfortable. I left an item in the room and called the hotel. Spoke to a manager, Jennifer, and she had staff go search for it. They found it and Jennifer put it the mail to me. They have a great staff.
Friendly staff
Staff was very good, but this is an older motel-like setup room was clean but older Not easy to maneuver when using a walker, getting to the longy for breakfast took some work on my part. But the price right.
Car would be better
Driving up to motel it looks ok. Lobby looks ok Get to room door Dirty Dated Room: Opened door, looked ok but old. Smell from room... nauseating Smelled like sour carpet or sewage flooding The smell kept waking me throughout the night. Whenever the bathroom was used the smell was worse The bottom of the panel to the bathroom door was totally disconnected. Looked as though it had been wet and bowed. Wondered about mold. I have to wonder if this place has flooded. Sheets looked clean Air worked if cranked to 66 Parking in front the of room. Glad there were bright lights from in front of the door. Dark and sketchy back in there. Personally, I would never stay here again just because of the smell and wondering what I'm breathing.
Needs Work
To be honest the room was comfortable and clean but that's where it ended. We booked the hotel because it had a pool for the grandkids. Go there and the pool was green and closed. Breakfast the next morning was a fiasco. Insufficient seating. Very crowded. Pretty much only two people at a time could get anything for breakfast. Customers cleaned up spills. The outside of the facility needs painting and maintenance. For the money it was OK but I've been in similarly priced facilities that were much nicer.
Mushrooms?
I have traveled around the world over the last 50 years and i must say that this is the first time that i have ever had mushrooms growing out of the carpet! The place is a bit rundown from the outside but i made the mistake of trusting a national brand. I stayed in Fayetteville NC, last night and the place was a dump but I mistakenly thought that the condition of that Quality Inn was an anomaly....i was wrong. This place is just a dirty as Fayetteville. Complained to the front desk and was given a $10 refund.....this is after we slept in a mold infested room. On close inspection the entire room is filthy. I have stayed at my last Quality Inn.....Quality indeed.
