More about the hotel
Good value for money
Stayed in the Merriman twice last year and found it good all round. Service is fast and polite. Rooms standard for mid range hotel and very clean. Food very good at breakfast and in the bar. Good hotel as a touring base.
Cosy friendly Hotel
We only picked the hotel as it was race HQ but we are so glad we did! Our first ever visit to Kinvara and the Merriman and it won't be our last. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating from reception and check in to the bar staff! Cosy warm rooms to keep out the shocking weather we endured for the marathon. The bar menu was brilliant for carb loading! Lots of options for pizzas and the seafood is the best according to my lovely wife. She loves her seafood. Even the bad weather couldn't dampen our spirits and we shall return in the summer to see more of this wonderful town and we will definitely return to the Merriman Hotel.
Road trip
Great food lovely staff found aisling and oisin to be of great help and always had a smile on their faces will def be back again and will highly recommend to friends and family. Would highly recommend the fish and chips 😁
Authentic Irish hostelry
A good value atmospheric hotel offering small but comfortable en-suite rooms. The evening dining is in the Irish pub bar and the substantial breakfast in the well appointed dining room. There is the added bonus of free charging should you be with an electric vehicle. Highly recommended.
lovely homely hotel;with great staff...
Myself and three other lads spent a very enjoyable weekend in this hotel..it has a very homely feel and very helpful staff;especially fergus the night porter who had no problem giving us a good drink when we finished in the pub and was a sound fella..we also had a lovely breakfast there too...the town itself is full of good pubs where people couldnt do enough for us and very friendly..there's great music, drink and people here and its what Ireland is all about, enjoying life...so would recommend a stay here and will head back down again sometime in the near future...
