Lovely hotel in a small German village.
Came here in the evening after driving through Germany and realised it was to late to cross the Suisse alps on my way to France. Found this hotel through Booking and called in advance to ask if my dogs could come too, and a very friendly woman said they were very welcome. I arrived and checked in and got all the information I needed about restaurants close by but I was so tired that I just went to my room. The room was of good size and had mini bar, TV, table and chairs and a very comfy bed. Next morning I went down for the complimentary breakfast and it was very good. Lots of different teas and breads, juices, bacon and eggs, müsli and very friendly staff that did all they could to meke sure I was happy. I will certainly come back! Thank you!
Authentic Hotel-Gasthof Experience wedged in a Beautiful Rustic Village in Allgäu.
Booked a two-night half-board package stay including a visit to the Therme/Spa in Bad Wurzach. Welcomed and checked in at the reception like a member of the family. Accommodated at the Gasthaus (new extension, very quiet away from the main street) in a large room with a good size bathroom with shower. The hotel provides strong free Wifi. Both nights we had dinner at their restaurant, food is typical of the region but well prepared and plentiful. Staff is all very accommodating and pleasant. On the downsize, we felt the breakfast spread on the buffet is a bit meager and not much of choice. Overall we had a great stay with a good spa/therme experience. The offer is fairly priced. We will return.
Business trip
My agency took this hotel and it was a good choice. Despite I never enjoyed the bier garden, it looks great. Rooms are clean and big. Shower and bathroom too. Common spaces are ok. Employees are polite and efficient. Breakfast is ok. The only minus I have seen is the parking place. There are not so many.
Just stopped for dinner
We didn't stay at the hotel, just stopped for dinner. We realized pretty quickly that it is a good place as it was packed with locals. We had for starters feta cheese wrapped in bacon , the combination was interesting although the pieces of feta were a bit too big. For mains I had the boiled beef in horseradish sauce, which was very good , my dearest had a pork loin in pepper sauce which was tender and full of taste despite the very heavy sauce. The dishes came with green beans, boiled potatoes, fries and salad buffet. Much to Too much for one person, but very tasty. Service was very good
Cosmopolitan Little Hotel in the heart of Ravensburg
Known more as a restaurant, Ochsen is also a charming little hotel. I don't know if you can get a more central location inside the city walls of Ravensburg. The rooms are either newly remodeled or new. Service is excellent but the key is the awesome location. I did not stay in the main hotel as they also have apartments a block away which was even more central.
