Perfect for families travelling together

Recently stayed here with friends and 3 kids under 6. We had 2 bungalows next to each other and found the stay fantastic. Lets get the negative out of the way, this is a relatively isolated place BUT is only 5-10 mins away on a Songthaew to restaurants and beach bars. The resort has a resident taxi man "Run" who was happy to give you his number and effectively act as our own taxi service for the 4 days we were there. As he charges per trip (200-300 B) this works out super cheap as others charge per person. We often had 8 people so it was less than 50p per person for a return journey. Now onto the positives, this was super good value as the bungalows are big and the three bedroom one we had afforded us LOADS of space. Each bungalow has a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room which is a very significant space. The kitchen has the basics to heat things up but I wouldn't fancy doing anything fancy in there. There is a PC and TV with DVD in each bungalow but we didn't really use them. Wi-Fi was free and pretty good as well. Each bedroom had it's own air con and there is a large free standing fan enabling you to keep the temperature down comfortably. There are 2 bathroom both a little on the rustic side but has everything we needed. Plenty of hot water although no bath so we had to shower the kids down. The best bit is they all have a double veranda which are shaded and perfect for a late glass of wine after bedtime. As we were there with friends our kids were running back and forth between bungalows and it was all very relaxed. The pool is big and has plenty of sunloungers. It does need a sail as there is no shade so it was too hot for the kids between 12 and 4. (Outside temp 34 degrees). This is nearly a super location and the only issue is the isolation. We stayed 4 nights and if t was longer the necessity to use Run would've been tiresome. As it was he recommended places and we were happy to explore. We'd definitely recommend for a short day for families particularly for those on a budget.
