Super Quirky Krakow Pad
We stayed at the Angel House B&B on a 3 night trip to Krakow. We were greeted at the airport by a really helpful driver who talked us through the history & best places to visit whilst staying in the city. We stopped at the hotels main office to collect our keys where we were met by Eliza who accompanied us to the Blich Street address where we were staying. At first we were a little apprehensive at staying in an apartment style hotel which was based on the third floor of a traditional residential apartment building with no on site reception. Once inside we were really impressed by the quaint quirkiness of the hotel. Our room was stylishly furnished with a compact but well equipped bathroom. As we were the only guests on the day we arrived we had a choice of rooms, - We chose room 2, which although looking out over a railway track was a great size, & we were not bothered by any train noise at all. Plentiful Breakfast was provided in the kitchen/dining area & tea, coffee & juice were available by self service any time of the day or night. Location of the B&B was perfect for accessing city centre, with just a short walk up hill to the main shopping area & access to the old town. If we had one critisism of the location it would be, - this hotel may not be suitable for elderly guests or those with walking difficulties, this is due to the fact that it is located on the third floor, there are no lifts so you need to carry your luggage up a lot of concrete steps. Other than this we loved the Angel B&B & would definitely stay there again. Eliza & all the staff associated with the hotel were lovely.
Air BNB kind of hotel
I stayed here on a weekend away with my boyfriend and cant complain. Its more of an intimate accommodation than what we are used to but it was still nice and in a good location. I received a text a few days prior to arrival informing me of what to do when I arrive and where to get the key from (I skimmed it and didn't realize they told me to get the key from another building 10min walk away) There is no reception at this place, the other Angel House on Sabastiana Street has the reception! Once I realized my mistake everything was fine. Oops, my bad. Check the address of the text before you book your uber from the airport!
It was almost perfect place
What i like about this place is that it’s close to almost every place you want to visit in Krakow. The place is nice. And the price is very reasonable. It’s around 5 minutes walk to the old town, around 10 minutes walk to the Jewish district, and around 8 minutes walk to the train station where you can get to the salt mine and Auschwitz. But you must remember that you have to go to pick up the key from the different building which take around 8-10 minuets walk. During my trip, i was calling the staff on my way to the place to confirm about my booking. The staff confirmed and said she will be waiting there to give us the key. We called her again when we arrived and got off the car, the staff said she never saw d something about waiting there to give us the key. So we had to make 10 minutes walk with our luggages to the other building just to pick up the key, then walked back again. Another thing is that the place is on the third floor with no elevator, wouldn’t be so convenient if you have the big luggages with you.
Sightseeing holiday
Although Angel house do advertise that there is no reception at angel house b and b, it doesn't mean that the cost should be put on the customer for example. You have to use your own phone because no phone is provided also there are no facilities to leave luggage, which if raining like in our case it's the cost of a taxi to Angel House 2 to leave your luggage. I feel the customer is forgotten about in angel house b and b. I have back packed around Australia and New Zealand and have stopped in a lot of hostels and backpackers. Angel House b and b actually felt like an up market hostel to be honest. Accessibility would be an issue for the disabled or people with a lack of mobility, you have to walk up 6 and a half flights of stairs approx 76 stairs to get to Angel House b and b. We were in room 4 and there was no privacy between our room and the communal kitchen once the door was open everyone could see straight through our room (see pictures) we could also hear everyone preparing and eating there breakfast and discussing what they where doing that day. The staff that we seen during our stay were friendly and helpful but unfortunately we seen very little of them. The bedding wasn't changed in 3 days even though we left the sign on the door to clean the room, however the room and bathroom were cleaned. Overall friendly staff (that we seen), good location, however no good for disabled or people with a lack of mobility. Would I stay here again unfortunately I would look elsewhere with more focus on customer satisfaction and better facilities. Sorry Angel House B & B it's the small things that let you down. Don't make excuses, like well we advertise no reception. Make improvements for your customers.
