Not What It Seems
The hotel is far from the centre and not near transport links. It is next to a water treatment/sewage works which means that you would be unable to open a window due to the smell. It is also on an industrial estate so it is always noisy, the room did have sound proofing but this does not block all the noise. The industrial estate has floodlights but the hotel does not have curtains (or blinds that close fully) so the room is always bright making sleeping difficult. However the room was always clean and the bathroom and walk in shower is spacious. The hotel claimed to be car "themed" which was why we booked (partner loves cars) but at best this is a basic budget hotel with some photos of car parts on the wall and some Tonka trucks in a cabinet. Definitely not worth the money we paid. You can certainly get a nicer hotel or apartment nearer the centre (or in a generally better location) for the same price
A very okay hotel
The hotel is situated in the middle of an industrial area. Quite away from the city center. Not sure about public transport but by car it's not complicated to get there. Large parking space. Hotel is next to a factory hangar but quite nice nevertheless. Ladies at the reception are kind and helpful. Room is large and nice. Bathroom and toilet clean. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. Wifi signal is okay, not lightning speed but usable. Did not check out the breakfast but judging by the scent coming out of the restaurant it was good.
WIFI not working, this is far from being a 3 star hotel
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. This is not a 3 star hotel and I will explain why: 1. wifi is not working / being extreeemely slow. I went to the reception to ask about this. The lady there said she is new and she needs to ask the manager. Manager only spoke Polish (!!!) but she translated it for us and he said it's probably because several people in the hotel are using the wifi at the moment (????). Great explanation. 2. no minibar / fridge 3. walls have stains on them, they need a fresh paint asap 4. noisy room, hotel is located next to a factory, in an industrial area, so you get noise from outside because the rooms are not properly isolated from it. 5. you only get 1 key for the room
Great hotel if you're prepared to travel
Having never been to Kraków before, we booked this hotel because it was the perfect balance of price and specification. It's clean, it's tidy, it's a little quirky but the staff are EXCELLENT. A very special thank you to Margaret, the cook. She was very kind to my daughter who loved her. We were made to feel very welcome and had a great stay. If you've got Uber, it's ideal for nipping in and out of Kraków!
Nice place but in a remote location
Comfortable, quiet, friendly staff and good value for money - the only problem is that it is at least an hour by public transport from the city centre, connected by a bus which runs every 40mins. Not ideal if you want to go out in the evening but a nice place to relax if you want to take it easy or have your own transport.
