Fabulous hotel in the Jewish Quarter

This was a lovely 3 night trip away to Krakow, and when we arrived at the hotel there was local music being played outside, and we felt very welcome. The hotel is in a little square, which is so picturesque, and nothing is too far away, shops for milk and water just across the square and around the corner, and plenty of places to eat in the square and immediate vicinity. The hotel gave us some milk to make coffees in our room as well as some ice cubes, they were quite helpful. The bed was comfy and we slept well. We did not eat meals at the hotel other than breakfast, which was all perfectly adequate, there were some hot scrambled eggs and sausages as well as all the usual continental foods. The room was ok with a mini bar fridge (that didn't get very cold) and looked out onto the square, it was nice to see the busy comings and goings throughout the day and night. It is also easy to get one of the trips around the city from one of the men who wait in the square with their little open vehicles. All in all a very enjoyable memorable stay. :)

Lovely hotel, could have been a 4 stars

We stayed at this hotel for nights over the new year period. The hotel is set in a lovely location, in the small square in the Jewish quarter. Edged by lovely cosy bars, bistros and restaurants. Only a 20 minute walk to the main town square. Our room was quaint and very charming. Beautiful wallpaper and lovely period touches, such as an old 30’s Bakelite telephone. Large chandelier on the staircase. We had breakfast included in the price of our stay. It was really the dining room area that lets the hotel down. Every morning of our 4 day stay, most things ran out. Including crockery and cutlery! Although only a small hotel, the service would have greatly benefited by additional staff being on duty. This would have also helped with the table clearing. We cleared a table on 3 days out of the 4, to be able to sit down. It was also a shame that we were told we couldn’t sit in the dining room when we returned to the hotel on New Year’s Eve. There was live music, we asked if we could sit at a spare table, as we were residents. The member of staff said we couldn’t, as we hadn’t brought tickets. I understand we couldn’t have sat in the dining room earlier in the evening, when the meal was being served. This was now gone 1am in the morning and many tables had been vacated. It didn’t make us feel very welcome as residents. So overall, a lovely stay. Great location, charming hotel. Would benefit by a complete service overhaul in the dining room.
