Nice and family friendly stay

We have stayed a week in this cute, family owned hotel. You can see three generations of hotel owners in the same time while rushing around in hotel. You can’t expect 5* experience but rooms are clean and service level is quite satisfying; thanks to Ates and his friend. It might be long to stay a week but if you are in a trip in the South of Turkey, couple of days will be enough.

I was utterly delighted with this property and services. I have managed 5 star hotels all over the .and I was immediately charmed. There is a family feeling to everything. Suleyman and his wife Jale are excellent hosts and are supported by his sister Cemile and the grandparents Sirri and Sultran. The breakfasts and evening meals were divine and I could watch from sunrise to sunset from my balcony. I can only look forward to my next visit.

This has the potential to be a good hotel but requires more professional management. For example what is the point of a balcony with no chairs to sit on? The dinners were fine particularly on our first night when it was served to our table rather than the buffet on the second. The cook was very pleasant but the breakfasts when she was not there were less good. Why in an area of fruit farms no fruit or fresh juice was offered is a mystery. There were various small faults in the room and an inadequate surfaces to put things on
Good enough, but room for improvement.

This was our final hotel on the Lycian Way walk, and we had extended the stay to give us a third night to recover from the walking. First impressions were good - room clean, light and airy, pleasant garden and so forth. Also the good home cooking - pleasant dinners very typical of the region. But this is a hotel that does not seem to be the owners family's main business (farming of pomegranates and oranges is I suspect) - so hospitality is not something they all were trained in - in the main room which looed as if it was the restaurant ( though we ate outside) the family sat most of the time, with the large TV on, taking the majority of their attention, over guest service anyway, whatever the time of day. The outside music kept playing the same tunes over and over. A shame as they could make this a real gem with a little thought and attention. The owners daughter deserves special mention - she was absolutely lovely, charming and a great cook.
3rd hotel on the Lycian Way and sadly, not a pleasant stay

Our overwhelming view of this hotel is that we were not welcome. In fact we have never felt so unwelcome and it was such a contrast to all the other places we stayed. Although it was early in the season, it felt like we were in the way rather than guests. It was never clear who was in charge of the hotel and I am not sure why our stay was so different to those of others who clearly enjoyed the hospitality.
