The hotel is old. Not old-fashioned, it is just old. It looks like a typical Italian hotel of the 70s or 80s, which has never been renovated. The restaurant is absolutely terrible. almost no choice, tasteless food and not-so-polite service. Especially one waiter, whom we met frequently at the bar (who sometimes works in the restaurant, too), did not look like he had a shower in the previous days. The hotel is far from everything, but the autoroute. Housekeeping knocks the door of your room between 8.00 and 8.30, everyday (including weekends), if you ask them to come later, they come back after 30’. Avoid it if you can.

L’Aquila is very warm and sunny Italian city. There are a lot of beautiful mountains and moreover it all visible through the windows of Canadian Hotel. Good location of the hotel, closely to Amiternum bus station.

A three-star hotel, good for overnight

Canadian Hotel (earlier “Hotel Ristorante Canadian” but the restaurant is only opened for groups and breakfast in the morning) is a three-star hotel with spartan furnished rooms. Easy to reach from the autostrada to and from Rome. The room was clean and offered a good stay and has also a swimming pool. Free parking at the hotels own parking lot. The Internet was 2 Mbit down and up. The check in and the check out process took less than 30 seconds!! The breakfast was poor but, on another hand, normal in many hotels in this part of Italy.

Stayed here for one week whilst visiting family. The service from all of the staff was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and really nice bathroom and a good breakfast selection was served each morning. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels each day. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Hotel Canadian for a lovely stay.

A great hotel with the warmest staff possible. The room was more than what we needed, great large bathroom, comfortable bed and amazing breakfast every morning. Not to forget the amazing view of the mountains from our balcony. Highly recommended, you will not regret it.
