Great little hotel!

I found this place while my son and I were driving late through the area and found it via hotels.com. We got there late (after 10:30p) but the owner was incredible helpful, which included an upgrade of our room. It was very clean, with a nice modern bathroom and just had an incredibly quaint feel. Highly recommend if you don’t want to stay at the usual hotel!

We stayed here overnight on our way to Provence. Beautiful little hotel,spotlessly clean with lots of little touches. Even a small swimming pool. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

Dishonest (and I suspect greedy)

This will be a long one and we didn't even stay at the hotel yet (and won't). Last summer we bought tickets to the Women's World Cup final taking place in Lyon this July. It was to be a birthday present for my 7 year-old daughter who is a huge soccer fan and player. We secured a hotel early knowing that the entire region would get very busy due to the World Cup and as it is also summer holiday time. Yesterday the hotel writes to us via the booking platform under the pretext that there was an issue with our payment method. Booking is not pre-paid so no need to process payment now and any deposit should have been done when we booked 10 months ago. So I call them to see what the problem is and if necessary (shouldn't be) give them another credit card number. Then the real issue is revealed. They don't have the room anymore. Apparently they have done renovations and converted the triple room to a double since we booked...really? Seems to be going in the wrong direction to reduce the revenue of a room. When they sent me their long convoluted "explanation" of the situation (I had to call 3 times to get the real story) they attached two photos of the room, supposedly before and after renovation. It was absurd as the only difference was that they had taken out the small bed sofa and replaced it with an arm chair!!!! (see photos - if you can find a difference, I'd love to know). They said they would organize an alternative in the region and sent me a proposal which could be found on any number of booking engines. Thank you for the zero value add. What made matters worse is that I am able to go on another booking engine today and book the same room at Le Petit Casset if I want - but won't as I don't trust the property and of course the price is much higher than when I reserved. Basically, the hotel is trying to get more money for a room by avoiding a reservation made in a timely manner knowing the demand would grow. The management of Le Petit Casset is unprofessional and naive thinking that they could sell their story to an unsuspecting client. Wake up - travelers are savvy and experienced today with many resources available to inform themselves and make smart decisions. And pls don't come with one of your defensive replies as I have addressed the points: - no issue with the payment and another method offered - exact same room available on a booking engine today - alternative lodging was an insult - interacting with 3 different people to get to the bottom of the issue was also completely unnecessary

Lovely quiet small hotel with excellent breakfast. Handy to St Exupery Airport and the city of Lyon. Reception provided good information on local areas. Stairs make carrying heavy suitcases up to upper rooms a bit difficult.

Great host and lovely little hotel close to Pérouges

We found this lovely little hotel on the internet but decided to visit before committing. Glad we did, as the host Patrick was terrific, funny, engaging and very helpful. The hotel was very good considering the price, beaut pool, and gardens. Patrick helped with directions to Pérouges and also a couple of recommendations for dinner there, which we took up. Very enjoyable stay. Thanks Patrick & staff. Peter & Deb😁👍
