Nayara is a beautiful resort with so much to offer. You don’t feel like you are at a large resort as everything is beautifully situated among lush landscaping and guests have many options for dining and on site enjoyment. After our excursions we enjoyed the on site hot springs and pool, and the morning yoga class was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was truly exceptional and the best during our 15 day stay in Costa Rica. All of the staff throughout the resort is extremely friendly and helpful. Pura Vida!

Lovely hotel. Warm reception

The hotel is set in a beautiful park with its own hot springs, nature trails, Jacuzzis and nice swimming pool. Our two bungalows were very spacious and comfortable with a big balcony overlooking the volcano. The local iguana population happily put on a show for us and the birdlife was amazing. A nice touch was a beautiful basket of exotic fruit on the first day. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and we received a warm reception on arrival. The breakfast was one of the best we have had, with a vast choice of hot and cold buffets, including local specialities, tropical fruit, and Western dishes. The two restaurants we ate at were good, although nothing to write home about. The prices were on a par with similar restaurants in London or Paris (around $250 for 4 people including 3 drinks), which is very expensive compared with ordinary restaurants around Costa Rica (i.e. about 5x the price). If you want a few days of total chillout, then this is the place to go, but you’ll need a car/taxi if you want to do anything (shopping or nightlife) outside the hotel. All in all, we spent a very enjoyable couple of days there and would be happy to go back!

Stunning view but good weather needed

We spent a day and a half. Got to see the entire volcano view but be aware that you can spend 3 days and do not see it during rainy season. We did lava walk in a tour. Not worth it. Do it yourself and save the money for the canopy inthe area. Very high and long cables -up to 500 meters-.

Amazing hotel

A beautifully designed hotel nestling in quite stunning grounds. The whole thing has been done so sympathetically, it combines comfort and luxury while still completely surrounded by beautiful trees and plants encouraging the wildlife of which there is lots. There are several restaurants so easy to please everyone. Wonderful thermal pools, various swim up bars, found something new every day! Staff are all charming and all of them are so knowledgeable and proud of their country and wildlife. It was a delight to be there.
