With its convenient location, not far from the Museo del Automóvil and the Casa Oswaldo Guayasamín, this hotel is an ideal choice for those who wish to explore the surroundings. The Museo de Historia Natural is just 100 m from the property, and offers interesting attractions, as does the Plaza de Armas and the Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, both situated 200 m away. The residence is housed in the former home of Regent Sotolongo, and was originally constructed in the late 18th century. A beautiful inner courtyard with greenery is a magnificent place to rest and cool down with a refreshing cock...

Cozy Hotel, Great Location, Affordable Price

Reviewed 28 september, 2017

After a week of staying in Casa Particulars across Cuba, it was a nice to stay in a hotel right in the middle of Havana Viejo. This hotel is a part of the Gaviota Hoteles so internet is available in the next hotel nearby. The room comes with a big breakfast makes it really worth it!

Quirky hotel in Old Havana Central

Reviewed 27 september, 2017

Beautiful older hotel in the centre of old Havana - walking distance to everywhere. The rooms are large with high ceilings, fans and air con. Our room had a small balcony where you could look out onto the small Havana side streets. The plumbing takes some working out but eventually we got the hang of it. It is a beautiful building and really feels like Old world Havana. We didn't try the restaurant or bar areas as there are too many other options on your door step.

Paella in heart of Old Havana

Reviewed 27 april, 2017

On Calle Oficios the view from street beclons you to enquire and explore within as it looks into a charming and green courtyard. It is a hotel but our interest was to taste an authentic award winning paella. And it did not disappoint, either in taste, ingredients and quantity. Good friendly service if just a little slow - but a paella does take time so don't be in a hurry. It looks an inviring place to saty if a traveeler wants to be in the heart of the old town.

Characterful and excellent location

Old and traditional hotel right in the centre of things on the pedestrised road between two of the main squares in the old town. All you need in Havana is on your doorstep. We had a lovely big room facing the internal courtyard. Two not so good things - the toilet is off the bedroom but only separated by a small screen - you feel quite exposed so you need to be comfortable using the facilities in front of your partner! The other was the shower which was temperamental - in fact hardly worked! This proved to be a theme in Cuba however. It was quite noisy in the mornings particularity as the window opened onto a busy small street and workers would start early in the morning. Also the was a restaurant in the street below which opened late into the night. the streets are narrow to all the noise is amplified. However in my view this adds to the character of this area of town. There is a small balcony so you can sit out and watch life happen! The restaurant serves nice traditional Paella dishes amongst other things. The Hotel seems to be a stopping off point for tourists and guides. not sure why other than is is nice, old and traditional. I wasn't aware of any specific history to it. Breakfast was good but not buffet style, you choose what you want off the menu but choice seemed to be unlimited if breakfast is included.
