More about the hotel
Dangerous this 3 Star hotel probably has 2 Stars more than it deserves
2020 review . This is a centrally located Indian run hotel which has the room doors pulling open into the narrow corridor. Is this a fire hazard? I don't know. What I do know is if someone steps out of their room whilst you're walking in the corridor, the door hits you in the face. My room had a bathroom window that rattled loudly in the wind. I could also see where the previous occupants toiletries had been standing. With covid19 a concern I was worried. I found the staff uncooperative, and paying 76€ a night, I wouldn't describe it as cheap. I would however describe it as one hotel to avoid. The best thing I can say about this hotel is after paying for my room I left and didn't stay there. Yes, that's how bad I think the hotel is, I didn't even sleep there.
Great Location!
We stayed at this hotel in September 2019. The hotel is a true 3* hotel so don't expect anything more. Having said that, the staff were very polite and helpful, the rooms served their purpose and were comfortable. Based on the other reviews, the elevator never worked for them but it was working just fine when we stayed there. The breakfast in the morning is as you would expect...eggs, breads, some fruit, coffee machine, juices. Was an ok breakfast to start your day. They do have a room for the physically challenged which was quite large. We stayed in this room the first night as the room we got when we checked in only had one bed and it was me and my dad. While I love my dad, I wasn't about to share a bed with him :-) The best part about this hotel was it's location. It was close to everything and it was amazing to just sit on the balcony and watch the world pass below us. It got very busy and noisy at night time as that's when all the people come out for dinner and drinks. The air conditioning worked fine as well. As for a room with a balcony on the street side so that you can sit on the balcony and have a beer and watch people. Parking was an issue as they only have a few spots in front of the hotel. If you don't get a spot there, you will have to drive around the narrow streets to find another spot. There are some parking lots about a 5-10 minute walk away. If I was to visit Lagos again (which I really want to), I would stay here again.
good location
The hotel is well located close to the city center . The rooms on the first floor are clean and nice. The breakfast is not good. All in all it is a good place to stay, but considering the price, it's nothing special.
Cheap hotel, rooms to the street
Nothing to complain about, clean, easy going, close to night life - so maybe a little noisy, but hey, it´s the south :-) OK, try to avoid British tourists :-D Central, good recommendations for food and pubs Free parking
Good Location, Friendly Service but Subpar Hotel
Front desk was very friendly and this hotel is close to all the action. But the elevator didn’t work the entire time I was there (and from reading other reviews it hasn’t worked for a while!), cleanliness of the room was not good. My WiFi in the room only worked the first night and my room phone did not work so I had to walk down four flights to tell the front desk. The response was that no one else said their WiFi wasn’t working. But worse was that every morning from 2-4:30 I was woken up by street noise even while wearing earplugs. I mentioned it to the front desk and said it would be fair to tell the customer at check in about the noise. The front desk blamed it on drunk people. Drunk people or not, I’m on vacation and have paid a great deal to be here so at least be forthright so that I can be Informed and perhaps request a different location at check in.
