More about the hotel
Good enough
Service was quick and helpful. Hotel is adorable looking and half the rooms have a nice view of the River. My view was of the parking lot but that was nice so I could watch over my car. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I’d like a bathroom to be with some rust in the shower and holes in the towels. Over all it was fine for a low maintenance person like me staying for a very short time. For there breakfast (under covid restrictions) I was able to choose orange or apple juice, coffee or tea, and orange or apple, and various kinds of pre packaged pastries. I was also given a water and a granola bar.
Terrible daytime reception
We arrived 2 hours early and called front desk to ask if there was a room ready. The woman who answered was very nasty and made a big deal about early check in, which we never insisted on, we just inquired. We entered hotel and were greeted with “ driver license” from receptionist. Then she kept telling me my credit card was bad. It turned out to be her machine. She gave us room cards. Not a word from her. Next morning, after we were greeted by the same women with silence and staring, we inquired about breakfast. She said “apple or orange”. We had no idea what she was talking about, fruit? Juice? She never offered any food, no list was provided, no Nothing. I bit my tongue and we went to Dunkin Donuts. Never spoke to her the rest of stay. I called corporate office and they must have told her to apologize. Upon leaving she apologized for the hotel grounds. Obviously no self accountability there. We left and will never go back again. We stayed there a few years ago and it was nice, thats why we went back. Obviously it changed. I would not recommend this location.
Night out
Loved the hot tub was great for my daughter to go in and was a quite night. The rooms we’re a bit far from the front door but that was the least and only problem. Was a nice to have the space and doors to the room, allowed for privacy to be kept inside.
Great Value. Needs some upkeep.
Stayed here for a night just to get away from the city and relax. We booked the king suite with a view. I was really happy with the size of the room for the money we paid and it was generally in OK condition. However there were several items broken in the room (door stop, toilet paper holder, window screens, etc.) that made it feel like it had been neglected. We could also hear the guest in the next room as clearly as if he was standing in the same room as us. Overall it was a nice room, in a convenient location, and it was worth the money we paid for it. I really really really wish they would have done more to emphasize what added cleaning procedures were being implemented given the situation with COVID, because that lack of information made us feel a bit unsafe, and that in itself is where we were the most dissatisfied.
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!.
The worse service. The front desk lady who answered the phone on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 was very disgusting & unprofessional. She acted like she owned the place. People like that should be fired and terminated immediately. Best Western is going to loose a lot of business if you keep hiring people like that. I was promised a discount but because it was not written, the lady who answered the phone today in a very nasty way refused to fulfill their promise. The room was smelly, and they never took action upon my request. DO not waste your money. Seek other hotels nearby wa better price and a lot more decent and well train workers.
