Beautiful Hotel, Grounds & Staff ..... Excellent Location!!!
First, I will start by saying that I looked at many reviews before choosing this hotel. I took into consideration that there are some people that just can not be pleased no matter what you do for them. So, I took the "horrible" and "poor" ratings that I saw posted for this hotel with a grain of salt. I also factored in the current situation with COVID19 and how extremely hard it is on the hotel industry and the staff that are working tirelessly to try and please everyone. Based, on the reviews (more positive than negative), I decided to book this hotel. My family and I were not disappointed!! The location of this property is excellent! While it is not right on the lake, the views of the lake are breathtaking. (I would recommend a room facing the pool and lake.) It is just a short walk to the lake and stores!! The hotel grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. From the pools, to the basketball court, there was something to do for my entire family! The outdoor and indoor pool were very clean and the staff there were always wiping down the tables and chairs as people were coming and going. The rooms were also very clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Given the current situation with COVID19, our room was not serviced, however staff was quick to bring up extra towels when we needed them. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. You could tell they were going out of their way to make everyone happy during these uncertain times. Always a "hello" when seeing them in the hallway. It was a bonus having a restaurant right on the premises and the food was outstanding! I would definitely recommend their "award winning" wings!!! All in all, my family had a fantastic stay at this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone with children or even a romantic get-away for a couple. Kudos to the hard-working staff!! We will definitely be returning next year.... or sooner!!
Great place
We are holiday inn timeshare members and were very happy with our stay. We weren’t sure what to expect, we typically vacation in Florida. The resort was great. Rooms were clean and kept up well. Good size bathroom. The resort was cleaned often, we always saw staff walking around and wiping high touch points. We stayed on the first floor, which at first we weren’t crazy about, but the convenience of walking right out to the pool was great. I would recommend a pool view. The view of the lake was nice. Not as close as we thought we would be but overall just fine as we were about a 10 min walk from the village and were happy to be away from the business of it over the holiday weekend. The beds were very comfortable and it was so quiet the first two night, our third night we had a very loud family outside our room and obnoxious considering it was midnight. Nothing anyone could do. Anyway, great place and great price.
Great resort
If you are looking for a fun entertaining resort in lake george for all ages, this is your place. Lake George village is very close. Just one note most things close at 7 or 8 pm including restaurants so make sure to eat earlier. Restaurant on property was very good. My son and husband both left items in the room. I called them a few days later and they found both items and shipped them to us. Staff at front desk so nice no matter time of day. My kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools. We will return to this resort
Somewhat disappointed
We had a nice trip but this hotel didn’t really live up to expectations. The first room we were put had a dead mouse smell and the second was just not as clean as I would have expected. We found a former guests jeans on the floor, hair in the tub, and the carpet left our feet covered in lint (which may have been because it was new but also indicated it hadn’t been vacuumed enough.) We completely understood about not servicing the rooms but were surprised that new towels, toilet paper and garbage emptying weren’t proactively offered. There was also a suggestion of family activities that we never really saw. Location is good though, esp if you want a branded hotel, and pool and grounds are nice.
Best place to stay
This was a good choice in hotel. The rooms are clean and the hotel and hot tub was always clean and not to full. The room had a deck that was good to sit on after a run or day. Staff was welcoming and I would tell everybody this place is a good place to stay.
