Terrified...
Prior to booking this hotel, we had done some research online and thought seriously about this hotel because it is relatively new. We thought a new hotel like this, even at a much higher average nightly rate than comparable hotels nearby or in other parts of Vegas, it ought to be worth it. Boy, were we wrong. First of all, the noise level is just unbelievable. It got to a point our sleep was interrupted repeatedly at night. Noise coming from outside, from someone else shutting the door, from cars, from freeway, from the AC unit inside the room..... Simply incessant noise. Second, on our second night, we had wanted some fresh towels because we had requested no cleaning. I called and the front desk said towels are available at the front desk for pickup only and cannot be delivered. Fine, I rushed downstairs forgetting to put my mask on. As soon as I showed up the front desk person rudely reprimanded me for not having a mask on. I apologized profusely and went back to get my mask. I came down again and she was still upset and said her GM is known for banning people from any future Marriott property stays for an offense like that. I again was extremely apologetic and told her it truly was an honest mistake. My boyfriend and I were both vaccinated already but of course I chose not to tell her because by now everything was moot. We were also fearful that her GM could ban us from any future Marriott stays... I would recommend anyone reading this review to seriously think twice about choosing this hotel.
Very bad experience!
First of all, there was a lack of communication by the hotel even though I had initiated contact with the hotel one day prior to our arrival. We had requested an upgrade (I'm a Marriot Lifetime Platinum member) and the two rooms we booked to be close to each other. Even though the person replied that he or she was going to look into availability for the next day, there was dead silence afterwards. Based on past experience we thought we had been taken care of. Upon arriving, we realized someone had definitely dropped the ball. Michelle, who checked us in, repeatedly apologized and admitted someone had dropped the ball. It's fine to not be upgraded and we know it is based on availability. But if someone promised to look into it never did then by the time we arrived, it might have been too late to have any availability. We then realized that one side of the hotel faced the freeway so noise was going to be a factor. We therefore requested rooms on the other side, but they are mostly not available. Finally we were given two rooms but they are much apart. We had no choice because those were the only rooms left on the same floor that did not face the freeway. We then were told that the one regular room had a lamp issue that could not be fixed. We had to be inconvenienced. Fine, no big deal. We were just unhappy that someone had dropped the ball when we first initiated communication with the hotel. I then requested the hotel GM to give me a call in the morning. Sure enough, she did call me at 9 something the next morning. She started out by lecturing me right away in a condescending manner. When I tried to interrupt her (of course our time is valuable and we have other things on our schedule), she was not happy about it and wanted to continue to lecture me in, again, a condescending attitude. Of course, she thinks she's right and the customer is wrong. For the price we paid per night (north of $200 per night for one room, the other room we had redeemed points for), it was simply not worth it and the overall experience could not be worse. We then discovered that, even though it is a relatively new hotel, the AC unit is inside the room and it is loud at night. It is not central AC. So buyer beware. We would not return to this hotel ever again and likely advise our friends and family who frequent Vegas to never set foot in this hotel.
Friendly, clean, welcoming
We stayed 2 nights. Checking in was easy and the desk agent was so nice. We were upgraded to a suite, which was great! The room was large, very clean with lots of lighting options and a sitting area with another TV. Breakfast was available to pick up from a staff member. Choices were varied: Eggs and sausage, muffins/donuts, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal to name some things. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.
great hotel off the beaten path
This was a great hotel off the beaten path. no casino but clean, staff was friendly, and the property was right off interstate. 5 min from Santa Fa Station casino. will definitely stay at this property again.
Very good COVID precautions
Comfortable rooms. We felt safe here with all the precautions they take. Check in was easy (touch less) and they maintained safe distance. Every one has masks and they were required. Although we were hesitant to stay at a hotel with COVID ramping up, we felt good about this place.
