The TRUE charm of the Fremont is the service!
The TRUE charm of the Fremont is their service. From check-in to check-out everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. When I dropped money at the cashier while changing a bill, security tracked me down before I even noticed the money was missing! They even gave me the security photo they used to identify me as a souvenir...lol I had breakfast at the Paradise Cafe twice and the $8.99 Prime Rib special at Tony Roma's. The food was hot and tasty and the service was great. Both are good, budget friendly options. I hope the Second Street Grill, temporarily closed, will be open on my next trip. The casino has a nice selection of video poker and many of the newest slots. As far as the rooms go, don't expect luxury. The rooms are small and somewhat dated, but I found mine very clean. The bed was comfy, the linens smelled fresh and everything worked properly. Since I was traveling alone and don't spend time in the room except to sleep, I found it perfect for my needs. The elevators are easily accessible and in full view of the casino floor so I felt safe going to and from my room. As a single, older, female traveling alone security is important. They had plenty of security presence and were strictly enforcing the current mask mandate. I also observed many staff members throughout the casino cleaning and sanitizing the machines and frequently touched surfaces. True, the rooms have funny, slightly sideways toilets, but that's not enough to keep me from choosing the Fremont again!! TIP: Bring an extension cord, there are very few outlets.
Good basic buffet
We enjoyed a $17 prime rib buffet dinner at the Fremont Hotel restaurant. It is a smaller sized buffet but well priced for what you get. We were satisfied with selection of items and it all tasted good.
I think we are done staying here, sorry
I have stayed at the Fremont several times. We love the live keno here, and the fact that we can get tickets and watch in our room, and it only takes 1 minute to get to the room, is the reason we stay here. I never liked the room itself, but in the past it was at least clean. The last 2 visits, July 2020 and Oct 2020, the rooms are just in bad shape. The bathroom is nasty and I honestly feel dirtier after being in there. The toilet is so old school. The rooms are just run down and dirty now. I'm really disappointed. I guess until they make some renovations, and do something about those bathrooms, we will be staying elsewhere. We will really miss watchin keno in the room, but we will still come to play keno here, just won't stay. Hi keno staff, you are the best! Hi Trent!
Smallest hotel room I have every stayed in
Hotel offers no self park and it's a very confusing place to get into. Once in, room was the smallest I have ever stayed in. believe it to be about 200sqft. Bathroom toilet looked to be straight out of a public bathroom. Window opened about 3 inches. No heat from the unit so room was very cold. Overall will not be back. 4 Queens is a much nicer hotel and would have been $50 less after resort fees and valet parking.
old hotel
We have not stayed in the Fremont hotel in about 8 years had trouble checking in, they could not find our reservation. When we checked into our room we were close to Fremont street so we could see the canopy show and hear the music until 2 AM. The room light was flickering all the time. We made a phone and you had to jam the phone buttons to make it work. and my fav. was the toilet plugging and sitting in our room om Friday night for an hour while they fixed the toilet.. We got yelled at by security several times for pulling our masks down to have a drink or a puff, We will not be back
