Dirty. Poor value for money
Reviewed 27 november, 2021
Dirty room, including hairs, dust, stains if headboard and wall above bed. Breakfast glasses and cups stained with lipstick and coffee. Overcharged on Visa card for room. Lifts out of order. Keycards kept wiping themselves. Communal door plates filthy. Room heat blasting so could not sleep.

I booked the Radisson for a special night for my friends birthday. I booked through Living Social and got an amazing deal. Room with breakfast and late checkout and a bottle of Prosecco for £109. I paid £30 extra to upgrade to a premium room. The room was nice, nothing ultra special and probably not worth the upgrade but perfectly fine. Slight niggle that we had to go down and ask for the Prosecco as we were unable to get through on the phone. Breakfast was good in the morning. Fully self serve buffet with a good hot choice and pastries and bread. The Radisson is in a great location, close to Greek street and Park Row and all the main shopping areas. If you can get a deal then I highly recommend.

Came to stay for my partners birthday had contacted the hotel four times to confirm the room would be decorated. On arrival I challenged this as I had not been charged only to be told it hadn’t been done. No apology or alternative was offered.
It's not Durham

We have repeatably used Radisson Blu in Durham due to the value received. Sadly, having booked one sunday night at this hotel on a Wowcher deal, it compared poorly to Durham. Checking in was at 2pm & this was kept to the minute by reception, The room on floor 6 was cramped, the bedside could only fit a cabinet on one side, hence nowhere for my drink. Breakfast had a very good selection but the hot food had been stood too long. Will stay elsewhere next time.
Good for a central business trip
