Friendly welcome, powered site
The man at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The park itself is in need of a bit of love. The amenities were clean but very old, the grounds need some attention too.but in saying all that it had all we needed and was reasonably priced. Oh and there was free internet.
Friendly reception, cabin a bit dated but functional.
Reception lady had a lovely manner. Always wins big brownie points with me. Appears to be quite an old park. Our deluxe cabin wasn't flash but functional and reasonably comfortable. Tariff was realistic at just under $100. Cabins well spaced out. Bed and pillows were pretty good. Shower needed a good scrub (probably biggest negative) Aircon/heater worked well. Separate pedestal fan in bedroom if required. Park itself could do with a bit of TLC.. a bit scruffy. Wouldn't want to be here if a fire broke out!!! But wouldn't be adverse to staying home here again.
Overnight stop in a cabin
We booked a cabin for our overnight stay. It was suitable - cabins were very clean, although they do need a bit of updating. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful (we arrived late but that was not a problem - arrangements were made to pick up key in an allocated box at reception). Overall a good experience.
A bit tired but great location
I'd agree that the place needs a bit of an update - particularly installing accessible wifi throughout the park. Cabins were good but need some work. Games room needs tidying up. But the location was handy to Launceston - barely 10 minutes drive. Also a mini shopping complex about 20 minutes walk and included a tavern. Rates were very reasonable for a three night package. All in all don't let the criticisms of mine or others frighten you off, just take into account the place isn't perfect but you won't be living there forever so it will fill the bill for most people.
Wet, muddy, very cold.
We stayed in a cabin with our dog for a week in June/July 2019. The weather was wet and cold and the cabin didn't appear to have any insulation so we, in turn were very cold. The park provided us with a heater which was as good as useless so we purchased 2 oil heaters to try to keep us warm, it didn't work. Generally a very miserable week, if we go there again I'll sleep in the car.
