Nice bedroom and polite staff
Stayed couple of nights on a buisness trip. Staff were polite and repectful at all times. Lady at reception was kind enough to accept my request to give me a room at the rear of the hotel. Clean and tidy room with luxurious double bed. Quick check in and check out procedure.
Worst hotel ever! Disgusting hygiene and service
The Asian lady at the reception which she claims to be the “boss” was rude firstly. When I checked in I had this funny feeling the place was going to be dirty. The reception area was very smelly like smoke. The carpets was sticky. The room had 0 rating hygiene, the bed sheets looked reused and the toilet OMG. Say no more.. I had to come downstairs constantly to make a complaint various times due to the lack of hygiene and standards a hotel would have. Will not recommend anyone to stay! I only stayed because the company I work for paid to stay at a local place. Having shivers writing this.
Wouldn’t recommend again
We were asked for a recommendation to stay in leicester by a friend and I honestly wished I’d visited this hotel before I said anything. I had been to functions here before but a few years ago but how things have changed. This used to be a nice hotel and restaurant but those days are gone by the sound of it. On arrival our friends were the only car on the large car park and were greeted at the door by a member of staff. They were given a room key and then went to the room. The room was dirty and tired to say the least the best part being the bathroom. They left the room and went out but on return found the corridor to smell of cigarette smoke dispute of the policy . There room also had traces of smoke from outside , our friends had an terrible nights sleep in an uncomfortable bed and couldn’t wait to leave . I will never recommended this place again but I hope the management look at this review and decided to spend some well overdue money on this hotel .
Nice but wouldn't stay for long
I stayed here for 1 night due to a work trip at the King Power Stadium and found the location to be perfect for my needs. On arrival I found there was more than ample parking on-site which was fantastic. Staff came and opened the front door for me and check in was fast and friendly. There didn't appear to be a lift, which was fine for me but could be an issue for some. I had a single room due to travelling alone and I though the room was quite small. The place feels very tired and is in need of some modernisation. The floor was very creaky throughout, the curtains were falling off the rail, some of the drawers no longer had handles and one of the lamps didn't work. The shower was also not the cleanest, with mold around all the edges. My room was at the front of the hotel, over the reception and the traffic noise from the road was constant all night so I had to use earplugs to get to sleep. Though there didn't seem to be any noise from the reception or from other rooms (this may have been as there seemed to be no other guests). I came back from my trip at around 00.15 as I was told that the reception was 24 hour. However, the front doors were locked and there was no doorbell. Only an intercom that was broken. Instead there was a sign asking you to call a number. Which with my phone on 2% battery was risky. So if you plan on coming back late then make sure your phone isn't dead or you aren't getting in! Breakfast was fast and very nice. The buffet table was seriously lacking (only really a couple of boxes of cereal and a bowl of fruit). But the cooked food was lovely. Shame I was the only person in the entire dining room. In summary, the staff are lovely but the place needs a revamp. It served my needs and it was very affordable but I wouldn't stay here for a longer trip.
lovely luxurious double bed room
vintage old styled luxurious rooms Breakfast is not great , and the table cloth of the drinks & fruit was dirty , so it is not worthy booking breakfast the location is very good with bus service just across the road
