Very charming inn
This inn, about one hour from Leon, was the perfect stop on our way through northern Spain towards Portugal. We really enjoyed the boutique, where we bought gifts, and then had a very nice dinner in one of the two restaurants.
Fun place to eat
A nice lunch sitting in the courtyard on a hot day. Wide ranging menu of home cooked tapas and food with excellent salads. Large portions of course as one comes to expect in this part of the world. Very nice hospitality and an excellent local wine list. Well worth a visit
We felt welcome
This converted 17th century hospital was delightful. The cool, calm courtyard was a great place to sit and eat absolutely fantastic food. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine! Even though there was no lift, our cases were delivered to our room. No fuss. We felt so welcome. The gift shop was well worth a browse and we loved the bedroom.
Great place to rest on Camino
We arrived hot and tired, the staff were very very helpful and friendly. The room 202 was magnifico, larger bed, spa bath which was to die for after the hard day on the Camino. The local fare was great and vino de tinto de casa - plentiful. We slept well as the room was cool and quiet. Definitely worth a stay or even visit to enjoy the hospitality.
Good Hospitality.
On our road trip through Northern Spain, we stayed here overnight before heading to Porto, Portugal and really enjoyed our stay. The gift store where you check in is beautifully set out with local wine and produce and we were given a small wine and tasty treat to sample. Our room with balcony was very interesting with old and new features and a very comfortable big bed. The staff were friendly. I booked very early as it is a popular stop over for walkers on their Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.
