Not what it used to be

Reviewed 16 january, 2022

I have stayed at this Hyatt multiple times for multiple events over the years. I used to love staying here for UK basketball games. This used to be THE place to stay for game day events, but the luster has faded and not worth the price. The room was semi clean, things missing, bad patch work, tiny bathroom, garage parking no longer available, and direct access to Rupp Arena has been cut off. All of the shops have been shut down.. All of the amenities that made it worth staying here for me are gone so I won't stay again. Location is the only positive, but only if you are going to Rupp, which direct access has been cut off.

Do Not Recommend

No one welcomed us at the front desk. The lady was so worried about her phone she did not even make eye contact when I asked her a question. The heater in the room made a big clunking sound all evening, our coffee maker did not work, the ice machine was broke and the pop machine was completely out. The only good thing was the gentleman who brought us another coffee maker was really nice!

Very underwhelmed

Reviewed 12 january, 2022

We visited Lexington to attend the UK basketball game and enjoy dinner at Tony's as well as enjoy the downtown area. First thing we discovered there is no access from the hotel directly into Rupp Arena which was the main reason we stayed. We understand it was due to the construction, but this should have been clearly stated anywhere associated with hotel but was not. As for the room it was as my title suggests, average. The bathroom had large stain on the shelf below the sink, and the shower was a mixture of hot and cold water pulsating back and forth. The towels were worn, and the television features didn't work. The pricing for the room was no where in line with the quality of the lodging. We will not return.

Bathroom was disgusting

Reviewed 11 january, 2022

Our bathroom had hair all over the floor and in the shower (on the shower wall and floor). The drinking glasses in the bathroom had toothpaste splatter from the last guest. The carpet in the room was stained and dirty. The room next to us must have been vacant and alarm started going off at 6am and continued to go off until we finally got up and left.
