Clean but Property and rooms are old and dated.

Room seemed clean but furniture was all old and chipped and very dated. No USB plugs available and wall outlets would not hold plugs they were so old and loose. Mattress was very uncomfortable and pillows were flat. We did appreciate being able to bring our dog for a small $10/night fee. We were only staying one night, had this been a longer trip we probably would have changed hotels.
WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY!!

Reasonably priced room on the road

We found this through Priceline late one night while traveling, The first room had obviously been smoked in and the clerk graciously switched us. We found the 2nd room clean, quiet and comfortable. It's not a Grand Hotel, but it's a reasonable place to stay for a night or while traveling
Combative employee ruined our experience.

We arrived super late at night (2am), and were told they had no singles left, so we would have to get a double. The night guy tried to make us pay for an upgrade, and argued with me that my reservation (prepaid in full) didn't have to be honored because we booked on a 3rd party site. I booked direct at Wyndham.com, but he insisted that Wyndham doesn't own any hotels, they are a 3rd party booking site. I advised I am aware the Wyndham (like so many other large names) has multiple 'brands' beneath their umbrella and some of those brands/franchises are owned by independent owners, but I most definitely did NOT book 3rd party. My reservation said 'Travelodge by Wyndham', (photo with Logo attached) . You don't see that when you book at exped, orb, or tripadv sites. He STILL insisted I was wrong and got pretty worked up about it. On top of the combative nature of the employee, the blankets, tables, carpet, and microwave were covered in cigarette burns. I get that it was a smoking room, but there did not appear to be any care in maintaining it. The only redeeming quality is the in-room air conditioning unit was AMAZING. The weather that weekend was pretty hot, and that AC blasted so nicely to cool the room. Also, the couple at the front desk at check out were very sweet and friendly.
Clean but dated

Many of the reviews I read about this Travelodge mentioned how the facility and decor were dated, and they are correct. Our room was clean, but items like soap, shampoo, coffee and toilet paper were in short supply in the room. The front desk politely gave me whatever I asked for - the point is I usually don't have to go looking for those things. The few people I saw that made up the staff were all polite. The best thing about this motel is it's location. There are restaurants, convenience store, a Walmart and other businesses nearby, plus the Bible Walk and Ohio Reformatory are minutes away. The next positive thing about this motel is the price. The continental breakfast has a small selection of items to choose from.
