Cheap n cheerful

We were looking for a cheap place to stay on a road trip through Northern France. I t is a very basic hotel with some 'interesting' ideas on ergonomics but it did the job. The room was clean, we had clean towels and the mattress was firm. A good night sleep, quiet location. Bathroom is like an aeroplane pod toilet but managed to have a shower without issue. If you are a bigger person you might struggle with this. At these prices I think it is fine.

Okay for 1 night.. Just..

The only positive is it’s a cheap hotel. Stayed for 4 nights and the breakfast was terrible, the selecting is bread, croissant, cereal and orange juice, there was no water available for breakfast. A family of 3 and we only had 2 towels and 10 pieces of toilet paper each night and when we went down to ask for some more they gave us kitchen paper... next time I will bring my own sand paper.. Receptionist was brushing his teeth at reception, I’m very pleased to see he is keeping his teeth clean but there is a time and place to that and sitting at reception isn’t one of them. If your thinking of booking then book next door which is “Comfort” better customer service, better breakfast selection and room size a little bit bigger and still as cheap.

Cheap but NOT cheerful

Ok this is cheap , but, even so the room was tiny, the bathroom was miniscule and I struggled in the shower. I am 5 foot 2 inches tall and a size 14 English size so not that big. I could not move. I have never been in such a small place. It wasnt too clean either. There is basic and then there is basic!!!!

It was cheap, small, simple, but OK for sleeping one night. Breakfast was scarce and for additional price. Wi-Fi was free and OK. Nothing special. I didn't like this hotel, but it's OK for it's price.

Great for drivers planning a stopover in Lille

Chose this hotel as it is close to the motorway between Lille and Dunkirk. Stayed for one night and visited Lille. Ample parking. The metro station St Philbert is a 5-10 min walk away. There are supermarkets nearby. The hotel isn't classy and rooms aren't spacious but we weren't expecting this at knockdown rates and therefore wasn't disappointed. The room was warm and shower had hot water and the windows had a blackout blind. Perfect!!
