More about the hotel
Horrible Experience
I would recommend trying anywhere else first until this hotel works on the issues being pointed out by most customers. I was stuck for a long stay in October and the filth of this hotel wasn’t the only issue. My room had multiple blood stains on the couch and linens, after a few days I also found a crusty questionable stain on my sheets that I did not create. The hotel did come switch my sheets but I’m positive they were not changed between stays. The carpets are absolutely filthy, I wore socks the entire time which were black by the end of each day. There was a incredibly loud and aggressive domestic dispute that took place in the laundry room that lasted probably half an hour or more at least with no interruption by staff (which I can understand for safety) or even police. It involved screaming (including that someone was trying to kill them and for help), crying and what sounded like actual physical violence. The front desk would not answer the phone during this time either, so there was no way to confirm if help was on the way without putting yourself into potential harms way by going out of your room. One of the reasons my workplace booked this hotel was due to the restaurant/room service. However, the cook simply did not show up to work for the first few days I was there, the restaurant staff was incredibly short during this time (which I understand), but the lack of information was frustrating. Once it was up and running again the restaurant was very awkward, but the room service was delicious and quick. The staff was hit and miss, I had a wonderful check in and some positive experiences, but some staff were downright miserable and argumentative. The pictures and website show a completely different hotel than what I saw, and I hope that this location reads all the recent reviews and implements some changes as it is a decent location with a good restaurant, and should be very successful.
Friendly staff and clean
Right now so often we are only hearing the negative things about hotels. This hotel was wonderful. Yes there are some stains on some of the carpets but while I was there; I saw why and the staff is working hard to get the carpets fixed. I stayed here for a couple months and the staff is so friendly and willing to help with almost anything. Just like with all places you have one or two that don’t do as well as the rest of the staff. Housekeeping was wonderful, when I needed my room clean they were on top of it; it was like walked into a brand new room. The managers try to instill a great attitude about helping the fellow human, which you don’t see very often in the workforce anymore. No none of them are perfect but they work hard to make up for any mistakes they make. This pandemic may have shorted them some staff but they truly make up for it. This was like a home away from home and I would stay here anytime. Thank you all for making my stay as wonderful as it was!!
Dirty and Disgusting
The first room they gave me had excrement in the toilet bowl and on the toilet seat. DISGUSTING! The second room they gave me had pubic hair all over the bathroom floor. The lobby areas was muddy and the trash at the entrance was overflowing. Stains every two feet on the hallway carpets. Overall a terrible experience, DO NOT RECOMMEND staying here. I would have changed hotels but was too exhausted from driving all day to another hotel. So covered the floor with towels, wore my shoes all the time, and tried not to touch anything.
Can’t believe this is a Holidays inn
My wife, daughter and I stayed one night during a college visit, it was terrible. Trash in the hallways, the carpet in the hallway was wet/damp like there was something spilled that was never cleaned up. Left the next morning and there were empty liquor bottle all around a bench on the left side of the front door, can’t tell me that the day shift manager did not see the bottles!
Strange Discount
After we checked in, we asked about breakfast. We were told that we would not get a free breakfast because we had used a $10.00 AAA discount. We were dumbfounded. How can it be a discount if we had to trade breakfast to get it? It took us each over a half hour to take a shower. We had to keep turning the water off to prevent the tub from overflowing. They should put either a toilet plunger or a life preserver in each bathroom.
