Absolutely charming

Reviewed 15 september, 2018

This is a converted farmhouse that belonged to the grandfather of one of the owners. My room was small but all that I needed for one night. Very clean and as a single woman traveling alone felt more than safe in my accommodation and the small village it is situated in. I only met one of the owners but he was most welcoming and really interesting-and multi lingual. When I booked they sent me a lovely welcoming email in English. This a great place to use as a base to explore the area. I came back after a dinner out with friends staying at a fabulous nudist campsite close by and enjoyed an excellent glass of red wine (you can buy on the premises and very reasonably priced) and sat in their garden thoroughly enjoying the warm evening and the stars. Breakfast was very healthy and excellent......organic bread, homemade yogurt and freshly-picked plums. I gathered that as well as sightseeing the picturesque towns and villages in the area there is excellent hiking. The hotel owner is considering renting out the whole place from time to time for family reunion vacation which is an excellent idea. Highly recommended this location if you are looking for peace and quiet.

A nice stay

As earlier guests noted, this place is rather different from the standardised h/motels located along the main roads. It is up in a small village, in the middle of nowhere, a bit hard to find the first time. Very friendly host, comfortable bed (but small room with minimal equipment), good breakfast, well-functioning wifi (but limited 3/4G), and you do get to hear noise elsewhere in the house. There are two huge dogs and an equally impressive cat and at least one of the dogs will come and see you more often than some may like. Overall, a nice stay and decent value for money.

Charming welcome at a lovely little B&B

Reviewed 2 june, 2016

We enjoyed an outstanding welcome from Thomas and Francois, who couldn't have made us feel more at home, even though we only stayed one night. We stayed in "Simone's bedroom" which was simple but nicely decorated. Thomas and Francois cooked us a delicious supper which they ate with us, and regaled us with stories of local life - they speak impeccable English. Breakfast was equally tasty and we left wishing that we could have stayed longer. Even Gaya the dog made us feel like we were friends rather than paying guests! Highly recommended

Lazy Life in Limans

Reviewed 21 february, 2016

We needed a break from our hectic village life in Seillans so we packed the Twingo and headed west into the heart of Provence, hoping to avoid the holiday weekenders. The Red Trellis was the perfect escape. No one there or within 100 kms knew us. And our hosts, Thomas and Francois, helped maintain our quest for some quietude without having to spend a fortune for a zen room in a ritzy spa on a golf course. The night before we left, Thomas cooked a dinner that even Michelin might have approved.

A good experience!

So nice people and good acomodation! We enjoyed very much the cosy weekend with them. They gave us good tips about programs in the region, like a wonderful book store in a close village and some good randonées! This place was a ancien house restaured by two people with modern and artistic taste. It makes an atmosphere clean and confortable at the same time. Lots of books and magazines were offered for reading!!! We loved it! So calm and lovely, even the dog and the cat were very friendly (but if you don't like this animals, I think they can be put in another place, don't worry!). It can be a good experience!
