Charming hotel in the old town

Adara is located in a renovated, very old building on the island and is steps from everything. Staying were my son & my wife and I. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is in a municipal garage about 100+m away, and driving access to the hotel very simple. The rooms have nice amenities and the breakfast is good for a German hotel. Because of the age of the building the ceilings are short! My son was in Room 2 which was spacious with a king bed. My wife & I had Room 4, which is divided into several smaller chambers. I’m 6’1” and my head almost touched the ceiling, and I had to duck to get from chamber to chamber due to beams between the rooms. But the overall sense is very pleasant and the stay was enjoyable. An excellent choice for exploring Lindau, which has lots to offer.
Good Hotel. No Nespresso

My family stayed here for 2 nights, rooms 6 & 7, and enjoyed its great location and very attentive service by the staff. The rooms are nicely decorated but are missing a few key things that one would expect in a hotel of this category. Very surprisingly, there was no Nespresso machine. This is now standard in all hotels for the most part. Very disappointing. Also there was no desk to work at. The room @ €243 per night did have the space for a desk but someone decided not to put one. As this hotel has no bar or lounge area that one could use as an alternative, then also not having a desk in the room was super inconvenient. Finally, the curtains have no blackout so be ready to wake up early! Breakfast was good as was the service. Do not that there is no valet parking at this “boutique hotel” and the car parks do not accept credit cards (nor high denomination euro notes. I could not get my car out so had to go look for change of a €50 note). Overall a nice hotel in a central location with friendly staff but it does not warrant the €243 per night
Fabulous gem of a hotel. A lesson for every hotelier needs to follow

Stunning boutique hotel with immaculate attention to detail. The bedrooms have been designed superbly. Air con, fans, superb bedding, free mini bar, underfloor bathroom heating. Bluetooth bose system. Great shower and amenities. This is what staying away is all about. Pure luxury. Only recommendation would be to include a kettle and coffee machine. We asked for a kettle and it was promptly provided. Superb and the best hotel I have stayed in for a long time
A little gem

Stayed two nights. Hotel is super modern on the inside, extremely comfortable, quiet and cosy in the middle of the island, walking distance to everything. Comfortable bedding, top notch bathroom and linens and the breakfast is excellent. We had to leave super early and the staff was nice enough to pack us a lunch for our trip.
Very charming upscale hotel

The friends with whom we were traveling the Christmas Markets stayed here when we over-nighted in Lindau and they loved it. Very friendly staff, beautiful building, great room (although the second entry door was very low and he's tall and so he hit his head a few times on the lintel beam) and very nice breakfast. It is in an odd part of the island but that makes it quiet. Not the usual delivery drivers moving around under your window at 0600 in the morning! Overall it is an excellent hotel and we would stay here if coming back to Lindau.
