I wish all hostels were like this

Reviewed 10 september, 2018

This was my very first hostel, so I had no idea what to expect or if I would even like it. In fact, I thought I was going to stay for one night and end up leaving, but that didn't happen. This hostel is fantastic! It's located a couple blocks from the Saldanha metro stop, so it's easy to get there from the airport. It's also not in a terrible location if you're a fan of walking around the city either. The hostel staff was welcoming and seemed very nice and despite most of the guests being solo travelers, it wasn't terrible meeting others (if you try). It can be strange walking into a hostel, seeing other guests and not even saying hello. It happens a lot here, but if you make an attempt at talking with others, you will probably be well-received. The beds have their own charging ports (although the charging port for my bed 103.5 was misaligned so I couldn't keep my phone in my bed space at night - No biggie - I was able to get to sleep faster without browsing instagram all night). The rooms were really great. The lockers are HUGE and lock/unlock with the key card you're given at check in. I was easily able to fit my big duffle bag, backpack, and comfortable lay out my clothes for the next day without having any of my belongings touch. The hostel is pretty small and as a result there is 1 bathroom for men and 1 for women in addition to a smaller room down the hall. In the main bathrooms (I can at least speak for the men's room) there are 2 or 3 urinals, 2 stalls with doors and 3 shower stalls. If I come back to Lisbon I'm definitely going to look into staying here again. I'm also going to try to get my hostel-adverse friends to stay here with me so they can see how great hostels can be.

Great location, friendly staff

The staff at Be Hotel Lisbon couldn't have been nicer: they helped us navigate the city, make dinner reservations each night, and even lent us umbrellas in the rain. The hotel is in a WONDERFUL location in the historic, central Baxia neighborhood, and breakfast is great. The rooms are small but clean and well cared for.

Amazing place

Reviewed 28 february, 2018

Stayed for one night in February and was thoroughly impressed at the cleanliness and how comfortable the beds were. Shared bathroom was immaculate, so was my bed in an 8-bed dormitory. Great, spacious secured drawers where you can put your stuff. Breakfast average but will fill you up and is included in the price (I booked in advance and paid 13euros for one night which is amazing value). Right in the city centre, close to subway stations on the red and green lines. I will be back and would recommend to everyone wanting a nice place to stay at while in beautiful Lisbon!
