Superb location
The place is located in the center of Lisbon, steps away from the famous 28 tram. The rooms are clean. Beds are small and not the most confortable but the room has enough space. It can get noisy and warm at night. The kitchen is well equipped. I had a shared bathroom, but it was always available and clean. Jeff the manager gave great recommendations and tips of the city.
Great experience
Unparalleled location, right on the Rua do Loreto on the Tram 28 route. Walking distance from most major attractions, I covered all spots majorly by foot. The apartment itself exceeded all expectations, with beautiful decor and a view to die for from the balcony.
Unhappy@Chiado - Insect bites from dirty unchanged bedding
Bitten by bed bugs which meant a very uncomfortable and bad stay here. Bedding had no protective covers and I suspect the bedding had not been washed or changed for quite some time. Booked a 7 day stay and not once was the apartment cleaned or bedding changed. I was told we don't enter the room when someone stays. Therefore, if you were staying there for a month I doubt they would clean the room or change bedding. Two days before the end of my stay bedding was removed on my request and only then did the bed bites stop. DO NOT STAY HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Hidden Gem in Prime Locatoin
This guest house/pensione was a fantastic surprise after booking the day-of for just one night. After getting the only available room for an ABSURDLY LOW price, I was delighted to be greeted by a super sweet and informative host who showed me my beautiful room: third floor (elevator) front room on the left. The room was huge with a very comfortable large bed, a separate dressing room, beautiful and spacious private bathroom with large luxury shower, balcony overlooking the street, white pine floors, and nice decor. ONLY drawback was no air conditioning but I used the provided fan and slept okay. There was a bit of noise from the street (pedestrians out late, a little bit of traffic) on that Monday night, but nothing beyond what I'm used to living in the city so for me it wasn't a problem. The property is beautiful, and the guest house shares a kitchen with laundry machine, dining area, and a few other common spaces. The location is PRIME, just a minute walk from the Baixa-Chiado metro stop, right on the street with the #28 tram, a block from loads of fado bars, restaurants, excellent shopping, cafes.... everything you want for a taste of the charming, historic Lisbon feel. Absolutely recommend this place and can't WAIT to return! I'll definitely stay there again.
Excellent Location!!
This hotel is very central which makes this the ideal place to stay. The room is in an apartment block so you have to look carefully as there are no real signs identifying the accommodation. The room was a good size however as we booked late the only room available was a twin room with two small single beds. One was very squeaky when moving around which disturbed our sleep. Also the walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbours. Kitchen was a nice touch which tea and coffee each morning. I probably wouldn't stay again however if your looking for cheap and central this place is perfect.
