Average - air con lets it down

Reviewed 18 june, 2022

The hotel is ok but I haven't been blown away by it. The rooms are a decent size and the bed comfortable but the air con didn't work properly. It was on but no matter what you set the temperature to it just did its own thing. I kept waking up hot in the night and the temperature outside during our stay was no where near as hot as it could have been. The WiFi also constantly dropped out. I can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have it but at check in were advised it was 12 EUR per person per day if we paid there and then for our whole stay or 17 EUR per person on the day which seemed like a steep increase. We hadn't decided on plans and knew that one morning we'd be leaving too early for breakfast so we didn't bother. Instead we got food from the local supermarket and used the fridge and kettle provided in the room.

Great Hotel, shame a little bit too far out fdrom centre

Reviewed 22 march, 2020

After travelling from Porto, staying at HF Ipanema, this was a little bit of a disappointment. Hotel front staff, great, Barman was excellent but the morning crew at breakfast were surely, unfriendly and looked as if they would rather be anywhere but there. The breakfast itself was plentiful but the bacon, scrambled eggs and everything that should have "Hot" was far from it. Porto HF coud teach them a lot. The rooms were ok, not as good as Porto. They were tired, clean but lacked somrthing. As I ave said, the Hotel is a quite a way from the centre. Local restaurants are in short supply, as were bars. Metro was very close by but we prefer to walk. As we were leaving everything was shutting down, so were releaved to back to the airport and home. If travelling to Lisbon again, we would choose a Hotel closer to the centre, sorry HF Urban. One last comment regarding noise, on floor 3 where we were, you hear the Metro trains thundering through from around 7 in the morning to gone midnight. They seem to be right under the Hotel.

Avoid

Reviewed 8 march, 2020

We had a bad experience with our booking with this hotel. They refuse to speak to us on call or reply to emails. They just ignore the customer. We have paid for our 6 day stay but will not be using it. We will not be staying at this hotel group in future.

Unusual

Reviewed 4 march, 2020

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights. Our room was clean. The beds were very uncomfortable. Both of us have been suffering with back pain during our stay and since coming home. On our first day we went out for a stroll and lunch. When we returned to our room, the key/card for the electricity was gone so the room was dark and we didn’t have the benefit of the air conditioning having cooled the room. It also affected the fridge. We suspected that the maid might have taken the key/card and reported this to reception. The reaction to our complaint was amazing and contradictory. One of the receptionists claimed that it was standard practice for the maid to have taken the key/card. The other said that the electricity worked totally separately from the card.....it was on a different circuit, apparently, whatever that means??!! The first receptionist showed signs of discomfort at hearing this information and mumbled something. We informed them that for the remaining three days we would not be availing of the maid service. We are totally bemused and disappointed by the way our query was received. Appalling “service”.

Great hotel!!!

This is a wonderful/modern very well located hotel to stay in while in Lisbon. Metro stations are close by which I found extremely comfortable. Room was really spacious and I got to enjoy the breakfast. Would definitely recommend it.
