Clever conversion in this old building.
We were preadvised that no one would be available to meet us but the instructions for finding the keys was precise. We stayed for 6 nights in room 10 which is in a separate entrance to the courtyard. Our room had everything for a comfortable stay, was very clean and fresh sheets/towels daily.Shower was very hot but the toilet was squeezed in and would not suit a larger person. Only criticism was that we were advised to give our age group to facilitate a suitable apartment and got number 10 that involved climbing a narrow staircase without handrails, that after walking around all day and climbing the hill from the Metro left us worn out. The Metro is about a 10 minute walk away with restaurants about and the excellent supermarket Pingu Dolce near the Metro. However, a comfortable stay but not for those with walking difficulties.
Our own little home
We were travelling with two other couples. We were lucky to get unit #3 and it had kitchen facilities, a loft bedroom that had a nice shower area. Our friends were in unit #1 which had limited space and the other couple had a unit up the stairs from the entrance Both are tall and with the low ceiling above their bed, didn't feel as comfortable as we did. We arrived early in the day and fortunately our rooms were ready for us, so we could check in early.
My friend and I stayed for two nights on 1st/2nd October. We opted for one of the apartments and were truly impressed with the VALUE FOR MONEY!. The apartment was clean and modern, and offered everything we needed to relax and lay our heads when not exploring. The receptionist was extremely helpful and answered all our questions on the first morning. I note there have been previous comments regarding the 'drains smell'. Having lived in France for 13 years with a fosse, we were quite used to the problems which can occur with old sewer systems. We did experience a mild smell coming from the bathroom, but would not have let that affect our stay. Overall we loved the place and will definitely be returning next year. Well done to all the staff.
Stinking stench from the bathroom gutter
We paid for two nights but ran away after one night - as the smell of the gutter was just impossible to bear. We kept the exhaust fan all night - but it did not help at all. The management graciously offered to give us another room the next day - but by then we had already booked elsewhere.
Verry nice stay
We were a group of 17 girls and everything was perfect. We could arrive th morning, the rooms were ready. It was like being in an appartement, but with more bathrooms! The rooms were verry clean. The staff was really nice to us. The hotel is close to the Bario Alto
