We came for afternoon to celebrate our anniversary, was so Disappointed. The whole experience was poor . Everyone seemed to be using vouchers . The sandwiches were the cheapest ingredients and rather stale , cakes were clearly bought in and not nice, the scone was tiny had been warmed up to hide how stale it was . Unless scones are meant to be crunchy.. the tea was nice the surroundings are pretty .. its such a shame the hilton have gone down the ,,, accept vouchers and do the afternoon tea as cheap as possible route,,, its sadly put me off booking to stay in July when we are visiting for 3 nights ...I thought it woukd be really special ,,it was not .

Standard room as in a million hotels. Clean, comfy bed etc butno winmdows to open for fresh air. had to sleep to the whirring of the air con which alos dehydrates you. Breakfast good but not exceptional. Position in realtion to shope, restaurants and docks good.

We booked a King Hilton guest room for £377 for one night. I expected a better than average room. The room was dated and shabby. The carpet was worn and stained. The weather was awful so we decided to stay and eat until the rain stopped. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic, really attentive, friendly and quite possibly the only good thing in the hotel - oh and the location. This isn’t the hotels fault but there was a very drunk woman screaming for around 1 1/2 hours. There was also a lot of noise on the corridor- obviously some ladies having a great time but we barely got any sleep. Breakfast was poor. Reminded me of an all inclusive where people queue to get toast out of a rotating toaster and poor quality coffee from a machine. If I pay almost £400 a night for a room, I want someone to bring my coffee and toast? I almost booked another hotel for that evening which would have been much cheaper but I chose the Hilton because I expected higher standards. I won’t bother next time. Can’t see us returning again.

Very disappointing. Hotel needs investment. Paid £240 for a very tired and shabby room for one night. Multiple cracked bathroom floor tiles. Filthy windows. Room was way too hot. 22.5 degrees. Bad nights sleep. No way to change temperature yourself in room. Have to call reception to ask them to do that. Ridiculous! But fab location in centre of city. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Stayed for two nights in a club room The room is dated, from the sixties. The four screws of the soap holder in the shower cubicle are badly rusted. The toilet seat is lopsided. All in all is very disappointing and poor value for money.
