A very special stay
I would like to add my praise to all the compliments paid by other 5-star reviewers to Roger and Katie of Ardwyn House. The interior is delightfully decorated and furnished in the Arts and Crafts style in keeping with the architecture of this turn-of-the-century building. Guests can not only the sitting area with its leather sofas but the library/billiard room as well. Roger and Katie spoiled us with their hospitality from start to finish and made us feel entirely welcome. Roger gave us excellent walk recommendations and when we returned with soggy boots, he produced a boot-drying machine!
Excellent Hosts
Our first short holiday since the beginning of lock down. Also our first trip to this part of Wales. We chose Ardwyn House because the hosts themselves received good reviews. We were neither disappointed by the area or the hosts. Both were outstanding. What more do I need to say? Go there.
Still Brilliant
We visit here every October and wouldn't stay anywhere else. From the warm welcome form From roger and Kate to the excellent house which has all the facilities you need to the welcoming tea and cake when you arrive to.. The breakfasts are just amazing from cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt etc to one of the finest cooked breakfasts I have ever experienced Never disappointed when we stay here. Thoroughly recommend it
A Real Home from Home
This is a very special B&B; indeed, “B&B” doesn’t do this charming house or the wonderful welcome that Katie and Roger offer any sort of justice at all! Nothing is too much trouble for these great hosts; from tea and cake on arrival and upon return each afternoon via very comfortable and well supplied en-suite bedrooms to a great breakfast, using local produce, you can expect a very enjoyable and refreshing stay. If you want a comfortable and relaxing break in this charming mid-Wales town, then look no further! We really enjoyed relaxing in the library, with its log-burner, pool table, extensive collection of books and DVDs and well-stocked honesty bar. The beautiful surroundings of this period house enhance the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that Katie, Roger and their family offer and make this the perfect place for a get-away. They also have self-catering cottages for rental. Thank you for a very special stay.
AMAZING house
We spent a night here and wished that had booked for a longer stay. It is just so beautiful. The family made us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious, the bed comfy, the room well appointed - well, there is just nothing bad to say about it! I think we will have to come back for a longer visit. If you go, please ask Katie for directions to the army firing range. The views are spectacular - we saw red kites flying below us! There is a pool table and LOADS of books. If you like looking at old books, as I do, then you're in for a treat.
