Hotel close to the Old Town Tapas area

We arrived here late in the afternoon and found the reception a little cool. I don't know whether it was because we didn't speak Spanish but there was very little communication during check in and we were directed to our room. We were not too impressed with the poor condition and the fact that we had requested a double bed and there were only twins pushed together available. The hotel did not look booked out to us but when we requested a double were told it was all that was available. The room had a very strong smell of cleaning product possibly intended to hide the musty smell of the furniture. We slept with the window open for fresh air. The room and bathroom were clean but old. The hotel looks tired. Surprisingly the breakfast buffet was of good quality and very fresh with a good choice.

Whilst my luggage hadn't arrived the reception staff phoned me immediately it was delivered so that I could wash, change and go for a walk. Room with en-suite was immaculate. Restaurant didn't serve meals, from memory, until 8 p.m. so after a long walk I couldn't wait until then. Breakfast however was served, from memory, at 7.30. It was certainly one of the best of the whole walk, plenty of food both cooked and a variety of other cold dishes.

Not the best place to sleep in Logrono

The hotel is situated very close to city's center. The reception was far from friendly and the rooms we were given (we switched from a twin to a doulbe), were old and not clean. The walls had stains and the furniture was over-used. The bathroom though was pretty clean. The breakfast was ok, considering it costed 7 euros per person. Overall, I wouldnt recommended it as it is pricey and there are plently of other options in the area, that cost only a little more.

Unfriendly reception staff

When we both arrived on motorbikes the man at reception could not have been more unfriendly if he would have tried. They just didn’t seem to want us to be at the hotel. But apart from that the hotel was fine with a nice breakfast with good service underground car par expensive.

Biggest asset is the proximity of free car parking on the other side of the roundabout next to the hotel. Also it is only 5 minutes walk from the nearest tapas area. Wifi and aircond. ok. Room, bathroom, bed ok.
