The worst experience

Hi! Please help! I cannot reach this property to get my refund. I had to cancel my trip last March because of coronavirus. They didn't refund it and "promised" the voucher that they didn't actually send. Can't reach them neither by phone nor email. Elizabeth is a lier. The phone number seems to be fake one, as the hotel itself. They appear on booking as sold out. Really? Till 2022?

Beware, do not book
Reviewed 4 march, 2020
I was looking for somewhere to book for me & my wife for one night near to Alexandra Palace as we were going to a gig there so through Booking.com found Linton Apartments and I really wish I hadn’t. Only after completing the process of booking online I saw the very small print, far down the page, stating that on arrival they required a £300 - £500 deposit in CASH. Not quite believing that would be expected for a one room bedsit style room costing £85 for one night - I book a holiday home for a week with only a £50 deposit! - I emailed the person from Linton via Booking.com’s email confirmation called “Elizabeth” to ask what it meant exactly, no response. So after a few more emails - direct to Linton and also to Booking.com customer service while officially cancelling - and trying to call mobile number, Elizabeth’s? which I only ever got an answer message - I attempted to get it cancelled before it went through. I accept it was non-refundable when I booked, but as I had cancelled literally within an hour of booking online I thought they might cancel as gesture of goodwill, but no without any acknowledgement of this or email response from them I checked our account and they had taken the £85 almost immediately (and I opted for the pay later option rather than upfront with Booking.com!) then I dug deeper, which I probably should have done earlier, and found that what initially looked like positive reviews (possibly I am now thinking could be fake) for Linton generally there were many negative reviews from a number of people who had a very similar experience to me, several had lost money. We are obviously not staying there now and by the looks of it that was a lucky escape as many people who did stay had a bad experience. But despite Booking.com saying they would try and help with this there has been nothing from them or from Linton. So, shame on Booking.com who are a reputable company for having this dodgy lot on their site, I am seriously thinking the good reviews and even photos of the rooms are fake? Not good at all and avoid at all costs, it cost me £85 (unless I can get that back, still going to try)

Really basic but clean
Reviewed 13 january, 2020
These apartments are very clean but have the basic necessities only. It is very close to the tube station and lots of shops and food places are within walking distance or one stop on the tube. However it is a very tiny studio and extremely noisy at all hours. I was on the bottom floor there was lots of noise from the smoking area and above me. Also the lights outside stay on all night long which shines through the window so I had cover the glass on the door with paper. The bed isn’t very comfy at all and you’re only given one paper thin pillow however the cleaning lady was lovely and gave us an extra one when we asked! It has up to date decor and the majority of things you need but lots of things missing (no tea/coffee , tea towel/cloths to do dishes although it’s expected , no scissors , no hairdryer etc.) also reception goes home at 6 ish and there is no one around to help guests or keep the place secure. However due to the cost and location I would stay here again if they got some FANS as it was like sleeping in an oven during the heat wave, I was tempted to sleep with the fridge open it was so hot lol, and due to being on the bottom floor I couldn’t keep windows open due to noise and smoke coming in!

Elizabeth the worst manager and unclassy dog who’s business is a sham false advertisements rooms are dirty Elizabeth

Do not stay here everything about these people are false... If you have children this is not the place to stay if you don’t speak there language this is not the place to stay and the manager ELIZABETH is a cheeky uneducated dog that has no class or consideration for children.I hope your business fails with your false advertising stole money from me and my 7 year old and left us with nowhere else to go late hours at Night.. I payed £174 for two nights to find out I’m not staying at the place I payed for but instead a grotty dirty old room on top of shops filled with rubbish at the back to get to the door in a dark alley way plus they wanted to take a further £300 for deposit which wasn’t stated upon booking..? Why only let people know on arrival.??.. That morning I headed to London tried to cancel the stay as it didn’t feel right...Elizabeth had told her staff nobody is allowed to cancel..?? That’s weird isn’t it?! if you have any children I hope my money fed them good... you don’t even deserve one star for being poor you have zero stars from me ..and further more if you want to build a business in this country speak English cause it’s rude to speak a totally different language to bash another person in there own country ELIZABETH... you are so rude no matter how polite I spoke to your staff they continued to be rude in front of my child also Elizabeth you kept hanging the phone up on me which is very unprofessional ... I’ve also blasted you on social media and I have a friend in the news industry and radio too... This will be taken care of. And as for trying to take customers passports and bank cards to scam them... wrong totally wrong! I also have a video how the staff was treating me and talking to me even when other customers came in they just pushed us to the side and ignored us my 7 year old fell asleep in the lobby and they still didn’t care... your company is crap and I hope you get shut down.. The picture I have put up is the so-called manager ELIZABETH if you want to see the video I will gladly upload it

The apartment itself was lovely and clean, perfect for a single person stay. The underground was less than a minute walk away which was really convenient. The apartment was situated on a road where there were multiple restaurants, takeaways and supermarket. I would stay again for a short stay and Ivana was really lovely and very accomodating.
