We booked executive ended up in the basement all plugs only floor level so to plug in kettle or phone had to be on the floor moved to 3rd floor this room had a out look of three walls with ventilation pipes and smelled

We have booked to stay in this hotel in July 2022. We booked through Booking.com and were told on the booking confirmation that no money would be paid for the visit until 48 hrs before our stay & held I assume as a deposit. Imagine my surprise when today I noticed on my bank account that the 1st nights stay in excess of £200 has just been removed from our account without any notice or communication. On ringing the hotel I was told by the Manager that this is the hotels policy and to take this up with Booking.com if I didn't like it. Overall the Manager was condescending, inflexible & I got the feeling that she didn't care if I cancelled the stay. Customer service appeared very far from her priorities. More to the point please beware if you book through a 3rd party for this hotel. With 2 months to go expect a large amount of money to be removed from your bank account without warning & totally unapologetically, hiding behind the repeated phrase " Its Company policy" After this visit I will certainly avoiding Best Western hotels in future. And this is before I even stay here!!!!

Booked this trip in November 2021 for my wife's birthday, but when we checked in on 1st May 2022 there was no room left, the best they could offer was 2 single rooms. My wife isn't very well and I am her carer, so this was totally unsatisfactory

De girl at the reception would not let me check in while I already had paid for my full stay. She claimt that I was supposed to have a credit card which was nowhere mentioned while booking the room. She simply wanted to send me away at 9.30PM after a long day of travelling. She claimt that it was mentioned in the booking and that I should check my booking. Instead of contacting the general manager herself, she told me she could give me his number and that I could call him myself. As I had to do her job for her. I dont believe they understand the way a guest is being received effects the total stay a lot! Such little respect she showed to one of the people that is actually paying her wages. Scandalous! I tried to contact the hotel several times weeks before my arrival with a few inquiries. Never have I received a reply. The room itself wasnt properly vacuumed upon arrival so I had to ask for that. Also stains on curtains, towels and bedlight was not working. Its the least you are allowed to expect that the room had been cleaned properly.

I've probably stayed here about 10-15 times, so that should say it all :) Lovely location, off the main road but just a few minutes away from Lancaster Tube station and bus stop (and about 10 from Paddington) and of course just a hop away from Hyde Park.
