Cons: 1. The Loft is not where you check in. Be ready to walk a distance. (15 min walk). 2. No AC. 3. Elevator out. We were on the 3rd floor, but that means the 4th floor in Europe. 4. 1 tiny bar of soap for 4 people for 7 nights. 5. 1 towel per person for 7 nights. 6. 1 of the bathrooms sprayed water when using the hose. Pros: 1. Everyone had their own space. Sleeps 7. 2. Clean-ish. It is a very old building. 3. Full kitchen 4. Papa Johns next door. 5. Very home-like feeling 6. Small grocery store next door 7. 2 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. 8. Great location!!!! 10 min from Tower Bridge and much more.

Terrible Experience, Would Not Recommend

Reviewed 20 july, 2019

We had two 2 bedroom apartments booked for our group of 10 (2 adults and 8 teens on a youth trip) for a weeks stay. We arrived to the building to find out the lifts were not working (no signage posted to indicate this either) and a filthy lobby. There was vomit on the floor and all up the staircase, so we had no way to get our luggage up without dragging it through puke. We called to complain, so they sent a man to carry up the luggage. They said they could send someone to carry our luggage down at the end of our stay as well. Once they learned our departure time was 7 am, they reneged this offer, since they don't open until 9 am. The pukey stairwell was not cleaned for several days into our stay. Luckily, the apartments were cleaner than the rest of the building or we would have left immediately. The apartments are spacious and clean, but some useful amenties would have been helpful when offering apartments with a kitchen (toaster, frying pan, baking sheet), but there were enough dishes and cutlery and a working microwave, fridge and freezer. Dishwasher wasn't working, but handwashing was fine. The street was loud, but you had to open the windows for airflow, so it was noisy. It suited our needs for a place to sleep and shower, but unfortunately I can't offer a higher review because of the state of the building and lack of lift.

Clean and well equipped.

Good Points.. we stayed at the Limehouse apartment. It was spotlessly clean and reasonably well equipped, located close to both a bus stop and train station just a short walk away, supermarket downstairs, we received a courtesy call the next day to make sure everything was fine. Most of what was provided was sufficient but a few touches would have been appreciated such as instructions on how to use the appliances, detergent for the washing machine etc. ( although I do understand that people have specific tastes/ needs regarding things like detergent the fact that it was provided would be nice) Not so good points... It does say on the website when booking that the actual apartment is no more than 20 minutes away (walking) from the check in office, while this was true we were no more than 10mins away and they provide very good and detailed directions, with 4 children 6 suitcases told to take a crowded bus was not ideal. We ended up getting off the bus and walking the rest of the way, after having to spend the day traipsing around London while we waited to check in (they did look after our luggage for us) and just getting off a long haul flight from Australia arriving at 6am having to then climb on to an overcrowded bus with all our suitcases was not the way we wanted to finish our first day in London. If it was just myself and my husband it would probably have been fine but not with 4 children as well. Our apartment was on the 4th floor of a nice building, however when you open the front door the heat hits you right in the face! The fans they provide are not sufficient and there is no aircon. With the double glazed windows you don’t hear any street noise but due to the heat we were forced to leave the windows open all night and being located on a main road you hear everything. I guess the most frustrating thing about this booking was not knowing where we would be staying until we checked in. I am a planner and so I couldn’t plan any outings using the tube etc until we got to the apartment. The train station nearby is on the overground network but linking to the tube was straightforward and with the great underground helpful rail staff the network was easy to navigate although London people are nuts when it comes to the tube so try and keep out of their way. Nothing about this process would be a deal breaker for me and now I know how it all works I would probably book through them again just not in summer.

Great location terrible everything else

Beaut view and close to everything needed but communication was poor due to having to drag kids around to collect keys from an address ages from apartment just as we were arriving, lift out of service and when i look back on reviews it seems it has been from jan 2017! Floors had liquid baked onto it and not cleaned off and bathroom towels smelt of urine! No tea towel at all, heating was great, water pressure great, where to leave keys was contradicting, beds were small but surprisingly comfy, balcony ballustrading needs looking at as when we touched it it moved a good 50mm each way! Wouldnt reccomend kids on here. Whole building has obviously sunk one one side due to mad cracks and doors not closing proper this would have been nice of been told instead we done our own thorough investigation to find this out. Overall perfect place if ur not worried about safety, cleanliness or communication.wouldnt reccommend for children or people who like clean housing.definately deceiving advert of this place.a little love and care and this would be an awesome place!!!

Be Warned When Booking Here!

Reviewed 21 december, 2017

We feel we were deliberately deceived by Booking.com We thought we had booked accommodation close to Borough Markets - “Southbank Nike Apartments” But found out that this is actually an apartment management company! And only found this out after a long flight into London, then a train and a taxi to get to “our” location where we find out that the apartment allocated is not where we booked but on the other side of the Thames River! At no stage we’re we told that what we had booked was not what we we receiving. But apparently there was some fine print listed on the bottom of the booking noting “your apartment could be a short distance away” but if you book via the app like I did, there is no small print upon booking - and what constitutes a small distance?? Just around the corner? Next Door? No! Another 25min London taxi ride!! To Queens Quay to be exact - somewhere where I did not want to stay!! Not impressed at all considering the weather and travelling with an infant, and we couldn’t check in until 2pm 😩 Booking.com needs to be more transparent when this reservation is made in the future. We were told by management upon arrival that Booking.com had allocated this Queens Quay apartment when I made the reservation, yet I only find out upon arrival - why was I not informed of the exact property at time of booking? I would have CANCELED! Isn’t this how we make reservations, by the location?? So for anyone wanting to book at “Southbank Nike Apartments” - BE WARNED you don’t get what you book! Now let’s get down to the actual apartment: All furniture is cheap and nasty and most wardrobes and drawers are almost falling apart. The pictures shown to us upon checkin were obviously outdated. Reasonable size for a London 1 bedroom apartment - don’t expect room big enough to swing a few cats! Main Bedroom - 2 single quilts on a double bed?!! WTF! Who’s does this?🤦🏼‍♂️ Coffee Drip machine was provided, but who drinks that sort of coffee these days anyway?! Kitchen had the necessities Dishwasher also Fridge made a racket 24/7 Wifi was good throughout Bathroom sink was a shallow joke! Accidentally turn the taps on fast with “man hands” and a shower a water spills onto you and the floor! Towels! Why don’t they provide enough towels!😡
