Fabulous Hotel in the best location in London…

Enjoyed a fabulous 3 night stay at the Waldorf. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Lovely quiet rooms set in a beautiful period hotel.. Breakfast was excellent. A big shout out to Arina and staff in the executive lounge, where they are totally dedicated to their customers and nothing is too much for them.. Fantastic hotel set in a great location central to all amenities. Would certainly recommend and hopefully return again soon.
The worst service ever

We checked in for 4 nights- the room was lovely but Good Godfrey’s Dinner experience was terrible. Our 2 burgers were served 25 minutes apart. The manager struggled to get an apology out - despite being given ample time for one. My wife waited for my food to be served before she ate hers. Even when she said her food was cold, there was no hint of an apology. We won’t return for food. Truly terrible

Immensely rude - I found the experience of entering the hotel immensely intimidating and not sure the “bouncers” outside are really the look the hotel would like. My mother in law, who was with me, is elderly and was a bit muddled. She tried to enter the hotel and was stopped by the “security” in their black jackets and beanie hats. It took me and my partner intervening to allow us into the hotel. Quite frankly, shocking and intimidating. I suggest management decides on a better way of balancing security and a friendly welcome to the hotel.

We spent 3 night at the Waldorf Hilton this week on a family break to London. The hotel is beautiful and in a fabulous location. We stayed in a king executive room which was spacious, very comfortable beds & clean. The bathroom I thought could do with a revamp, the double glazing was looking a little grubby as well as the triple glazing sliding door over the window. The window didn’t open easily at all, I had to use a coat hanger to force it open after having a shower and the place being like a sauna. There was no English breakfast tea in the room, even though there is milk provided, so I had to take some teabags from breakfast so I could have a cup of tea in the room. Breakfast was good, it has to be booked in advance which I understand, however it was constantly full when we went at 8:15am every morning and sometimes with queues outside, which I think defeats the propose of trying to stagger guests. The staff were always helpful, especially Cio at reception. Our room was not serviced on one of the days, so I used the ‘contact hotel’ on the Hilton App - logged in though my HHonours account. I sent 2 messages to inform the hotel and see if this could be done before our return in the evening, however I never received a reply even though the message was delivered. This is definitely something that needs addressed as it is a great service in theory, however, pointless if nobody reads or responds to the messages. We returned to our unserviced room and had to ask reception for fresh water & towels for the morning. This was facilitated quickly and there was no issues. The executive lounge I found was very poor. We used it during the day a few times and found there to be no hot water for tea, no milk and no still/sparkling water. There was also no staff to ask for these things. About 20 minutes later, a staff member who didn’t walk in the lounge came through and went into what looked like the kitchen area. I asked her if she could find someone to fill up the milk/hot water/water supplies. Eventually, someone came through and re-stocked. I found the lounge to be a bit of a waste of money for this reason.
Disappointed and let down

We were excited about our long awaited vist to London. We decided to tteat ourselves ta a 5☆ experience by staying at the well renowed Waldorf on The Strand. The room was on the small side and lacking in some basics such as a biscuit to have with a cup of tea and a toothbrush glass in the bathroom. Those points are trivial but we did expect good service. On arrival at breakfast we were seated in the dining toom and then ignored until just before we left. Everything on the hot buffet was luke warm or compltely cold, and all of the available plates were cold. We finally managed to attract the attention of a waiter and ordered poached eggs. After 20 minutes these did not arrive so we left. On leaving the dining room we spotted a menu where you could order delicious sounding food delivered to your table, most of which were included in our package. There was no menu on the table so we were unaware of this until it was too late. We are now feeling a little dejected and disappointed, as it fell far short of the experience we were expecting.
