We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The man on reception spoke good English and was very helpful. Yes you do hear the monkeys, but not normally at night and that's why people come to Lopburi in the first place! The baby monkeys are so cute! The hotel's sister property is Noom's Guesthouse and they serve excellent food, including breakfast. The tour that runs to the Bat Cave is well worth doing, as you get to see thousands of bats fly out of the cave; a great experience!

This hotel are ok if you travel on budget. The room was ok. We booked double room, no fridge and industrial fan who really did a good job. The monkeys who are all over the town made a bit noise early in the morning. Friendly staff who speaks basic english. Restaurants and bar nearby.

We had an extended stay whilst visiting family having stayed at Booms for two nights. We stayed in room 202 at the top of the first flight of stairs. The hotel has recently been taken over by the owner if Noom guesthouse and signs of much needed renovation were seen. We paid 650 thb per night for a room with ac, fridge, shower and toilet and a paving slab for a bed. The room wasn't clean although the bins had new liners in them and there was shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Sheets and pillow cases seemed to be clean but the floors were minging, hair being the main issue. AC worked ok but sounded like a jet taking off and the monkeys seem to like having their late night fights/get togethers on the tin roofs that back onto the alley at the side of the hotel. You can buy cold beers and water at reception and they also have a laundry service at 40 thb per kilo. Central to old Lopburi the location is fine for a base and very close to Noom guesthouse which serves great food and Snowy (weiss beer). Would I stay again? Yes, but would try Nooms first. Let's see what the new owners do with the place, whatever they do it won't happen overnight so be prepared and you'll be fine.

I settled into a nice room and was ready for sleep when the noise from outside became intolerable, I opened the door to nothing? Still a loud clamour which went on for most of the night I was convinced it was a business next door working the night shift. When I complained in the morning I was told there was no such work going on it was a tribe of monkeys having a turf war on the corrugated roof. Having been to Loburi several times in the past I should have realised. I changed rooms and stayed on for a few days more. Clean and cheap accomodation with very helpful staff.
