Owner Unlawfully Discriminates Against Service Animal and Refused Service
Opinión escrita el 29 de Agosto de 2021
The most horrendous experience I have ever had with a hotel. The owner met us at the door and at first seemed receptive, but when he saw my wife's service dog he refused to let us in. We explained that our dog is a service animal and even volunteered a registration card (which we are not required to do by law) and he still refused us entry. He told us to cancel the reservation on Hotels.com and I said we couldn't because it was non-refundable. He said he didn't care and that we have a "killer dog".
I explained to him that he was currently breaking the law and was not allow to refuse us for having a service animal. He said that we both look fine and are not disabled and do not need a service dog. My wife - who is very visibly 7 months pregnant by-the-way and now in tears - tells him we will sue him. Because she has an accent he started yelling at her that she "is not from here" and to "go back to her country". I thought this sort of bigotry only existed in bad movies.
I have never, ever, in all my life experienced such rudeness, ignorance, and discrimination. He refused to give his name and usually I let this sort of blind stupidity slide, but we will be filing a police report tomorrow and pursuing legal action through the U.S. Department of Justice. It boggles my mind that the owner is really so incompetent to either not know the law, or is wilfully breaking the law and putting a tremendous amount of undue stress on a woman in her third trimester. It took a long time for my wife to finally be able to calm down...thank goodness her f***ing service dog was by her side.
See you in court.
For reference look up "ADA service animal" on the DOJ website.
P.S. To the public please do not stay here if you are against that sort of awful and unlawful discrimination. Our dog did not once bark or jump or do anything but sit/lay quietly.
Mr Ghosn, the owner, is very helpful

This guest house is a thirty-minute walk from Univeral Studios Holywood but we didn't need to walk as Mr Ghosn, offered to run us there in his car! The owners are delightful, the price very reasonable for the location and free parking in the driveway of the house, Breakfast is freshly cooked and more than enough.
Mr Ghosn, the owner, will make you feel right at home in Movietown

Mini Mansion is situated in the nicest part of the city, curvaceous Hollywood Hills, with a view to lush Mediterranean trees and the mountains beyond. We had a bit too much baggage but Mr Ghosn carried the suitcases up the garden and indoor stairs to our room.It was small but the welcome was big. We had some interesting talks during our stay, mostly about politics. Breakfast was good, with Mr Ghosn whipping up sausages and eggs while the Mrs made the toast, muffins and bagels. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay with a personal touch.
in the hollywood hills

If you want to stay in the Hollywood Hills for an affordable price, this is the place. It's a guest house with very nice people who share all ins and outs of the neighborhood. You are within the reach of the universal studios and the hollywood sign. But also Hollywood Boulevard is only a 10 minute drive. This is not a hotel, but you stay in the house of a nice couple. Our room was nice and clean and had a view on the hollywood hills. Water and amenities are provided. If you need anything, just ask, and they will try to help. The breakfast is basic, but fair enough. We could park our car on in front of the garage, so that is a plus as well.
Great location, simple accommodations

My wife and I stayed here to be near her father's house in the Hollywood Hills. The location was perfect for our needs, but would also be ideal for someone visiting Universal Studios. The accommodations were simple -- exactly what we needed.
